Beginner Improvisation For Bass Players: Learn How To Improvise A Bass Line In The Key of A (A – F#)


In this lesson, we talk about techniques for improvising a bass part whether you’re jamming, recording bass, or writing a song. We discuss the basics of learning what “being in a key” means, as well as hearing the major and minor chords. Then, we come up with strategies for moving between chords in our chord progression, A major to F# minor in the key of A (also known as I to vi).
