Philip Conrad has a channel that’s pretty good.
Sorry to be late, but check out Jonathan Wong. He specializes in short-scales
Late to the party- I like Ryan Madora's (13.4K) bass channel is fun and informative.
One of the, many, things the Philip Conrad channel does well is to use good rhythm tracks. The clarity, pacing, and atmosphere work well for the bass lines.
JHL is who I watch when I want to be humbled. That guy is phenomenal. If you’re at all into bebop, he knows how to capture the essence of the music and perfectly execute it on electric bass.
The only channel I wasn't subscribed to in this video is Bassed, but I am now, so thanks for that, I will have to check it out. I also like Legends of Bass (although he hasn't posted anything new in 4 years), Josh Fossgreen (who became BassBuzz), Dave Porter, and of course my favorite Philip Conrad. You're always trying to catch up on the chat, and I've been trying to catch up to your current videos. Only one more and I'm caught up. Thanks buddy, you're channel is awesome.
Janek Gwizdala's channel is one of the best resources of knowledge for bass players that I've come upon
RICH BROWN!!!! Can’t recommend enough
Im with others shouting out for Dan Hawkins. When Dan is teaching it stays with me. I also love listening to Janek these days. I feel in the lat year or two he has become much more relatable, maybe more humble than I previously thought. For gear you have to love Gregor Fris on Bass the World. Great insights great snappy vids and such a lovely guy.
Obrad Lacarac is a channel I really like for doing side by side gear comparisons of basses and amps with no talking. He does a great job!
Tyler Spicer has a pretty chill channel
These are all great channels, but extra special love to @patrickhunter and @ampthebassplayer
danny sapko – https://www.youtube.com/@DannySapko – BEHS!!!
I used to watch marlowedk but he doesn’t pop into my feed lately
I like this guy for his relaxed technique-to me, the way the instrument should be played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YENPuB_Sp84 and…this guy that uses a Bass VI for all kinds of 60's era (and a few modern) covers.
BassBuzz is also a great channel ☝????
You, @Hondofelder, @TheoAndHisPedals, @PatrickHunter, @BassStuff, @JonnyDibble, @Calilil, @erikarko, @IvanBassist… just to name these… ????
some great channels, i also love floof the bassist
Great stuff, you've turned me on to some really cool new resources. Echoing some others in the comments, I also learn a lot from Rich Brown (the Brown'stone) and Ian Martin Alison. Kinga Glyk is also a great follow; not a full-on content creator or teacher, but her playing is terrific and you can learn a lot just from watching how she navigates the instrument. Cheers!
I definitely would recommend Paajanenae
@MyBassistChris The first bass channel I subbed to 12 years ago when I started learning, since I was really into alternative, pop punk, and emo way back when. Learned a lot of songs through the tabs Chris made!
@Bassection When I was getting into Kpop and J-rock in high school, alongside with my interest in bass, I eventually came across Brett. Unforunately, Brett is no longer with us anymore, but I hope to continue his legacy by sharing his channel.
@DavidCaraccio Chris actually introduced me to David! Probably one of the first guy that helped me developed an interest in slap bass when I was starting out. Y'all should check out his old band, Deep Kick, btw.
@wudumindif Another bassist Chris recommended to me! When I was developing my interest in post-hardcore and metalcore, I'd watch a few of Fruittari's covers, and got introduced to some classics, such as Jamie's Elsewhere and Of Machines.
Check out Rodney McG
Funny to see that I already follow all but the last channel on the list. @ampthebassplayer and @LowEndLobster have been some of my favorites for in depth gear looks + examples.
@AmosHeller and @bassbonedo2158 are also great for high quality examples of what certain gear sounds like.
@CiciVonStrangelove is absolutely fantastic. Glad for Anderton's for introducing me to her stuff. Always cool to see other bassists who got into playing because of the same artist (Paul Gray of Slipknot)
AMP, Jonny Dibble, and Lobstah are all awesome…Would add Bully and Floof to the list as favorites too!
TJH3113 has a ton of really great covers and uses super simple gear setups.
Basstheworld and Amos Heller are a couple of my favorites.

One of the best Channels for beginners and intermediate! Deserves way way more viewers!
@BeholdenToTheRiff ????????????the heaviest
Tom Bornemann – a German bassist who does some great demo videos. No talk, just plays the bass line with backing track with great TAB / music scrolling on screen. TAB available through his Patreon site. Also Dan Hawkins as mentioned by someone else.
@Floof – The Bassist
He’s practically your doppelgänger ????
Thanks, Phillip. Very civilised and civil. As Jonny said, you're a true gent. Some of my favourites you already mentioned, like JonnyDible and Lobster. Others less known: Jonathan Wong, only about short-scale basses (lots of experiments swapping pickups in Bronco and Mustangs, including Curtis Novak, Nodstrand, SDs), and BassAdvisor from Spain (English subtitles, good reviews, excellent playing), Sonojono (good reviews and playing, fun to watch). And last but not least, of course, your channel is probably my favourite. I don't see the need for the mic on hands, however. I know there are a lot of people doing that, but is distracting and doesn't add.
PD Bass and Brownstone
i really appreciate this video
i have a difficult time finding bass youtubers
its always mostly guitarists so this is very helpful
Love all the ones you mentioned! Also love Rich Brown Brownstone, Rufus Philpot, MarloweDK, Bass Stuff, Justin Raines, Scott Whitley, Ryan Madora, Edd from world music method, to name a few ???? thank you Philip for a rad channel! Hope it keeps going ✌????
BullyThaKid!
I'm sure you've heard of him, but his review videos are all super honest, and he just exudes a chillness in his videos that makes watching a blast!
Dude, you just listed all of my favorites!

@HondoFelder has a great bass channel.
Steve Burke only has about 3k subscribers, and hasn't uploaded in about 6 months, but he's an amazing player and communicator who deserves more attention.
I’m real big on Travis Dykes channel
