  • First of all, great presentation! I'm usually more into vintage-style basses, so it took me a while to even notice this bass. But the more I look at it and hear it, the more I dig it! Even the design! It's not so much about the look, it's not the most visually pleasing bass, but more about the concept of it. The tiny headstock, the deep cutaways, the pickguard housing all of the electronics with the pickup swimming pool for a maximum of customizability, but then nothing unnecessary that doesn't contribute to actual usability and sound – it just makes sense. This is like a bass build with Bauhaus design philosophy.

And the sounds are just awesome, they really got the pickups and their placement right. Amazing how it can go from Super-P through Super-J all the way to Modulus/StingRay, all with a passive J-like setup!

Some things I'd like to change are indeed details of the design, like the pickguard shape – the upper curve doesn't flow with the body shape, which is something that Leo just got right. Also, I would have put the output jack onto the pickguard for easier access and maintainability. But most importantly, the end of the neck – why is the fretboard extended like this into the slapping area? It should be lowered there.

  • They are coming out with Fender replacement necks, P and J, 4 and 5 strings. They appear to have 3&1 and 3&2 headstocks. That would solve the "gotta be a P bass" thing, sort of
