  • I have a Cordoba F7 and its phenomenal for it’s $599 price. It could hold its own against more expensive guitars of other brands any day.

  • The Yanaha's are so much better in every way. I think there is a prejudice towards Cordoba. My brother has a C9 Cordoba in the $1,000 price range, I have the Yamaha C12 in the same price range. The Yamaha is so much better in every way. There is no comparison in the workmanship.

  • Kenny Hill guitar as you've said 'just over $500 price point" is $10,000, $8,000….is this you call it just "little" above $500 price point 🙂

  • I’m looking at the Cordoba C7 as my second guitar. What’s your opinion on the electric vs non electric variants?

  • Isn’t Cordoba from California since 1971with factories there, Mexico and China and now part of Yamaha?

  • All Cordoba guitars you mentioned are from their Iberia series, and AFAIK they are made in China (like Asia), not Spain (like Europe). For a few days I was looking for something for me and I was targeting C3M (cheaper and with matte finish), but then I found Ortega brand. It is located in Germany, and they made their guitars in… China ???? as well. So I just ordered R131, similar price as C3M, both have truss rod, but Ortega comes with a bag. And was in stock, so it was it ???? We will see about the craftsmanship.

  • I have a Samuel Carvalho (luthier from Brazil) entry level guitar and it plays so much nicer than my Kenny hill new World Series. Don’t get me wrong, I love the playability and sound of the kenny hill NWS, but I still prefer the SC guitar. I also played the Cordoba C9, but in my opinion the Kenny hill sounds better.

  • I was lucky enough to snag a mildly used Kenny Hill New World Series guitar, and YES, it sounds and plays amazingly well. However, my instructor at the time, a woman a bit smaller than me, convinced me that females need smaller guitars. I've come to find out the Kenny Hill, a 615mm. is just too small for me. So I now have a Kremona Romina (spruce/rosewood) that I bought used and in mint condition at a great price, and I love it. When I get a minute, I'll be putting my Kenny Hill up for sale on reverb. Then I'll be looking for something with a cedar top.

  • Do you any recommendations for a person looking for a classical guitar with a pickup and cutaway for €800-1000 ?

  • Well done video with lots of good advice. I'm glad you included the Kremona brand. Cordoba is a popular brand and they are reasonably good guitars for the money. Years ago I tried the Cordoba C9 and C10, and then some of the Kremona models. Right away I liked the Kremona guitars better and felt like you were getting more for the money. I ended up buying the Kremona Romida RDS. I don't know how consistent either brand is from one guitar to the next, but for the money, the Kremona guitars came much closer to a professional level guitar than the Cordoba guitars I tried.

  • Hi, Firstly thanks for your channel and the work you put into it. I’m 53 and just embarking on my guitar journey. I wonder if you’d be able answer a question for me. I have been a diatonic accordion player for 15 years and have found through that journey that although you can get great mid-priced instruments (especially when set up well) that the higher end instruments are much easier to play which leads to faster improvement and just more enjoyment in learning. As I’m older and lucky to be in the position to spend a bit more money I’ve been looking at guitars in the £1500 kind of range. I have a crush on a Hanika 56 AF-N. My question- is it a rational idea, in your opinion, to spend this much as a beginner, or would you recommend cheaper options? Thanks in advance! Rob

  • I had an Alhambra 5p with a cedar top; it was a very nice instrument. But my tastes have changed and now prefer the crisp attack of a spruce top.

  • 4:00 greetings from Bulgaria! I'm happy that you mentioned Kremona – they do really great things as prize/quality and I recomended them to many of my students.

  • I bought a Yamaha cg 192s guitar in January. With D'Addario Pro Arte strings and played with very short fingernails (which are only 1 millimeter longer than the fingers) it has a dark enough sound that I really like. Although the guitar has a high action that needs to be adjusted after purchase. By the way, I like your videos. You speak sensibly without exaggeration, which is not always the case on YouTube.
