  • Makes sense that the neck feels "Fenderish". Fender manufacture all Gretsch guitars now. Gretsch does the marketing etc. It menas they have access to well built mass produced guitars. I have the 2013 version of this model. Plays brilliantly.

  • I've had mine for a couple of years and it really is a great sounding and playing guitar. I bought it for $449, but I've noticed they've gone up in price this year like most everything else. Great playing Andy!

  • I played this type of Gretsch at Guitar Center today. It surprised me. If you've got less than $600 to spend on an axe then give this a look

  • When you began talking I was blown away that you had an English accent! I mean…when you play guitar, you can't tell, not one bit! ????
I was at my local guitar shop yesterday and played two Gretsch guitars. I'm a low action guy and holy crap both of these guitars were setup from the factory with 1.5mm string height! I swear to God…I actually bring a 6" steel ruler with me when I'm guitar shopping…I've bought too many pieces of shit with horrible bones that wouldn't allow under 2.5mm string height..junk.

  • Hi Andy, I 'm looking for the guitar lead for the "boys of summer" by Don Henley. Have you done a course on this one? Also, I have a gretsch electromatic large double cut in orange stain. It plays the same as my Tennesee Rose players series. The electromatics are great guitars.

  • I bought one last summer in jade grey, and so far the worst thing that I can say about it is that the guy who set it up, did a lousy job. So now I have to take it somewhere else.
