Sorry, Empress buffer
Thanks for this. Have you ever used the Mission buffer to run the same setup wet/dry? Cheers, sh
The review starts at 5:14.
So basically a Joyo PXL8 for 130 bucks more
I dunno… the Joyo PXL pro has 8 loops with a dedicated tuner input and 4 trigger outs for amp switching and such and the ability to run the first 4 loops through an amp fx loop
Thanks, your explanation is very clear. In my case, I have two amplifiers, and I'd like to be able to control which effects go to which amp. I know the unit you're reviewing won't do that. But which looper/switcher products can do that? So far, I've only seen a $999 unit from GigRig. Are there any other units capable of this? Thanks!
Great vid! I can appreciate the organization that went into your setup. How are you powering everything? Maybe make a vid on power?
Great video I have a question. Does the One Control allow me to use the pedals in the loop switching on and off individually? Like no presets where there is a combo of pedals? This looper world is entirely new to me and I'm trying to wrap my head around it.
I was considering the Joyo PXL Pro loop switcher but everything I've watched so far doesn't include the simple on/off of pedals individually like you've shown here.
I wish this had the option to do 4 cable method.
One question : why does it have a loop number 1 (send and return) if the 1st switch is used to edit/choosing banks ?? Thank you so much !
Nice one! Thanks. Is it possible to change the order of the pedals in a loop preset?
I bought an One Agamidae Tail Loop switcher on september 2022, january 2023 it has started to freeze live and I have to swich off/on the pedalboard to make it disappear, very disappointed..
Cool demo! The Agamidae tail seems totally noiseless. Does it has soft switches? You can get zero "pop" even switching while holding a note or a chord?
Excellent review. Thanks!!
is it true bypass?
I think I’m too simple for a switcher but at the same time I probably need one lol.
I’ve noticed John frusciante doesn’t use switchers and he has the most massive pedalboard I’ve ever seen. He also struggles turning on/off a few pedals at a time but it’s really an art form of struggle lol.
Thank you for the information
500 US Nee. Mid 300–450. Used
Great demo, but I don't agree with the build quality. The switches are not regular pedal switches. The top that you stomp is normal, but below is just a spring which pressed down a digital button om the motherboard. Two of my don't always work, including the BANK switch. I can press it lightly or stomp on it like crazy, and doesn't matter. It's not completely accurate in that way. I bought it used a few days ago, so I don't know what the previous guys did with it. What I did was, I put on little rubber feet on the digital buttons, like those rubber feet that you get under some pedals. The buttons feel a bit heavier, naturally, but it might have solved the issue with the switches not always working. It is a very compact switcher and it's pretty useful!
6:40 I discovered on my own the sound of an octave up and an octave down mixed with the clean signal, along with a tremolo, and it sounds really good! Kinda like an organ.
this is genius bro
Hi – I found that very helpful – thanks!. How do you access banks 6 to 20? (the vid shows the bank button cycles from 1 to 5 only, then back to bank 1). Cheers!
Do I need a rocketscience masters degree?
I am a John 5 Lowery and Adam Jones fan and when I just saw ur pedal board ……dude that is wicked cool.
Harley Benton ISO-4 is programmable, has a power supply and costs 89€!!! BUT, it´s serial not parralel mixing. Another option to consider is the ElectroHarmonix Tri-Parallel Mixer. It´s not programmable but it only costs 129€ so…@
Hey..thanks for presenting this. Have you tried daisy chaining a pair or more of pedals on a single channel to see if it causes any pedal whine or feedback?
Thanks a lot for the review! is it possible to change the order of the loops (for example run loop 3 before loop 2). I want to put my modulation on a loop and my drives on another a switch the order back and forth between sounds.
Hello – Great video! My only issue (sorry, I know…) is that I'm not sure you explained the buffer correctly in the first part of the rig rundown. I don'e believe it splits it into 2 channels as you described. Unless you have it wired differently, it should be guitar IN, "loop out" to everything on the pedalboard, "loop in" and then "amp out" to buffer it both directions. Can you please explain that for me? Thank you!
Can you change preset or pedals and amp channel at the same time?
Hi, I can't set the bypass how you do at minute 08:50. How can I di the bypass?
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say your video was a great help in selecting the switcher based on my needs! I will be ordering in the AM … My only question, though I am sure I can figure out when it arrives, is in regards to the power source. I use a Voodoo Lab power source with 8 independent 9v outs which I think I will continue to use rather than daisy chaining all the inputs. Thanks again! Concise & clear!! Always appreciated 🙂 LOL
Hey man, great video. Question for you:
Basically, this device allows you to plug in 6 total effect pedals, but you’re only able to create 5 combination presets in each bank in buttons 2-6, since button 1 is acting as the Bank button. Does the Bank button function the same way as the others when you’re in Program mode? For instance, if you had an Overdrive Pedal plugged in #1 instead of your volume, how would you program that into your effects loops? Wouldn’t pressing the bank button just switch the banks or take it back out of Program mode?
This was confusing
I don't understand how to chain my pedals with this. I have a NS-2 gate (4 wire cable method) and EQ that always stay on and do not need to be looped. Is everything plugged in front of the amp?? My delay, chorus, and reverb are currently in the fx loop. Help!
I have 2 pedals: an Eq and noise gate pedal that stay on at all times. Do they need to be connected to the looper? I want to create presets with my distortion, wah, and modulation pedals in addition to those 2… Is this possible?
