Welcome to this Blackbird Guitar Tutorial by The Beatles!
This is one of the all time greatest fingerpicking songs ever written and was a defining song in my fingerpicking skill development when I was learning guitar. In this tutorial I’ll show you ALL the guitar parts as well as the fingerpicking method Paul McCartney uses when he plays this live – it’s a little more complex then typical fingerpicking so I’d suggest beginners start with the method I teach in the first half of the video.

Dave always puts out the best tutorials. Yesterday I learned the intro and thought "This is too hard". Then I tried again today and now got the whole thing down! All it takes is a little determination❤

Man the hand shape changes on 4:10 I find so fucking difficult as a complete beginner. Getting ur first finger down there and then back up without making a mess of it is gonna take me a lot of practice
Learnt this song a year ago, your the best Dave… but something always seemed off when I listened to other versions and finally just worked out what it is by looking at other tabs. In this version in the second measure and all the parts with that rhythm your version is always 0 12 on the G and B strings whereas other versions are 0 12 then 12 0. Or 0 8 and then 8 0 etc rather than 0 8 0 8… if you know what I mean. It definitely gives off a slightly different vibe just wondering why you have done it the way you have… just a preference?

Fantastic. The overlaying of the chord shapes and TAB is genius! Personally; I think Paul's method is a bit easier and… I think I prefer this finger-style arrangement! ????????
