  • Demoed one today and was blown away. I ended up buying the amp. It has so much potential. Nice cleans, great classic rock tones and chunky gain. By far the best amp for the money.

  • I want to like this but it just sounds so scooped, maybe slightly compressed even with the mids up.

  • Great amp. Even more so when I picked it up for 499 brand new when it’s 899 everywhere else currently. Anderson’s mega bargain.

  • Dude always breaks off the best demos of any gear they set in front of him. Fantastic player and thoughtful walkthroughs.

  • Great demo! This amp seems like it would cover all my bases since my band has quite a few songs that go from clean to overdrive mid-song. Great playing as well!

  • I just got one of these and the treble is insane. I can't tame it. This is the brightest thing I have ever heard and I hate it. something must be wrong with it

  • Got the 6l6 version really happy with it. I knew this guy could show how an amp sounds, I knew that hè could do clean/blues/rock flawless. But now he also played metal wtf ????????????

  • I have the original that I got for a ridiculous price used, but they did a nice job upgrading this. Played it in the store and everything is just a little bit more harmonic, but still tight. It doesn’t get the love it should. It fixes a lot of the issues from the vintage brands that are sorta stuck with their classic voicings that come with certain issues.

  • Bought this MkII club 40 amp originally just as a back up amp to leave at a rehearsal room. It has become my main amp and I have a few. Changed the speaker out to a Celestion V30, louder, clearer and even more beautiful tones, perfect upgrade. This is an incredible amp for the money. It will do everything and handles all my pedals wonderfully well up front and in the effects loop.

  • I play all kinds of music from zep to Vince Gill I have the 20 watt. Sound guy runs it through DI sometimes, BUT my point….this amp will do it all! Don’t overlook it. It’s not a metal amp. One of the most versatile amps I’ve played 30 plus years. Would I buy another . Yes!!!

  • Found a special edition of this called Kentucky special. Red casing, 6L6 tubes, and they claim screaming eagle is an upgraded speaker.

Like their tvp amps highlight, almost nothing out there has the lows and highs like some 6L6s. The clarity on top of the aggressive palm mutes is lovely.

  • These demos don't this amp any justice at all. I can't wait to make mine. Mine slays. Huge monsterous gain if I want it

  • Can confirm after having this amp for almost 2 years. It’s reliable, loud, and versatile. However probably tops out at around 90’s metal. A lot of noise with the gain dimed especially with the “modern voicing” selected. If you want a 5150 then get a 5150. If you want to play anything from chuck berry to rage against the machine. This amp can hang.

Wondering if some of the noise I described could be the fact I haven’t ever biased the tubes. Been thinking about upgrading them and maybe getting a greenback or something else to replace the 70/80. Still not a bad place to start for my first tube amp. I’m happy with it.

  • This sold me on the dark and light reverb setting that plate reverb is definitely what a lot of 80s hair bands used

  • After watching probably all MKII vids, I really think I finally found the first amp combo that doesn't sound do damn passive, flat and "woodbo"-like like virtually all other amps I have ever seen, hard or played. How can this be?

  • I love this amp. Works great of the get go. I had a spare Celestion V30 so I swapped and it is even better. I would love to have a full set of eq controls for the clean channel, like the OD channel. The expanded foot switch is an awesome addition. Love the power management switch, great future.
