  • Meh, I've always seen Bose as the Apple of audio. Very trendy, gimmicky and overpriced. You can get better performance for less money without trying very hard at all.
Every boomer I know swears by Bose. I always just assumed it was because of age related hearing degradation and mindless groupthink, lol.

  • I’ve had a Bose S1 since they came out. One of the best things I’ve ever purchased. It has the rechargeable battery and all these years later the charge still lasts a long time. I have it hooked up to my wireless record player and I use it for parties and everyone is always impressed by the quality. I initially was going to get the L1 but I don’t play out so didn’t need the extra cost but probably will still add one to the fleet eventually.

  • For solo gigs for vocal and acoustic how do you hear yourself? No need for a monitor? These sound great live but I always worried I’d not be able to hear myself well enough. If my PA dies I’d like get one of these if the monitor aspect works.

  • To me the Bose sound was better in your live outdoor setting. To my ears it sounded somewhat boxy in the studio. I love the D’Angelico you played there. Stunning looking and sound is sweet.

  • Always impressed with your reviews and thoughts Jack, but more so with this one purely for your use of the term "little buggers".

  • I had a first-gen L1. Not normally a Bose fan, but used it with an upgraded sub for bass guitar, and it was great.

  • My dad always liked Bose too. Good New England company. If I took a trip to Maine would your people let me play guitar in front of your beautiful foliage? It sounds like a nice change from just playing guitar in my bedroom. Although I live directly across the street from the beach I don't know why I never thought until now to go play guitar on the beach at night when no one's around that sounds like a good time.
