BOSS DD-7 Digital Delay Pedal Review – Sweetwater Sound

Get the BOSS DD-7 here: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DD7

In this video, I’m playing the Boss DD7 Digital Delay pedal. This is a versatile, great-sounding digital delay in BOSS’ tried-and-true format. It’s got everything you’ve come to expect from a BOSS pedal plus a few nice surprises. Enjoy the demo, and thanks for watching!

  • I have a problem with my dd7, the 50ms setting sounds the same as the 800ms. Can anyone tell me how to solve this?

  • Hi there!
My problem with the dd-8 seems to be finding my way of setting and changing subdivisions WITH MY FOOT… So I need to know :
=> if i can use the external Footswitch, to tab in a subdivision (e.g. dotted 8th)?
=> can i do this while i play, without holding for 2 sec first?
=> can i, by this method, change subdivisions, while playing, by just physically tabbing in their different rythmical signatures (e.g. the "1-2-123" or alternatively the "1-2-3-4-1-234" for the dotted 8th…) at any time? Like, just how Antoine shows it here, @ 01:40m: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6483Aq8nfQ
I would be grateful for a an informed answer from someone who actually did this…
    thanxalot^^

  • You beauty! I've had one of these for over a year and did not know about the tap tempo function. I've been dialling in the tempo using the fine tuning tempo knob. What a noob

  • I have a DD7 and though I'm a big fan of analog I must say that this pedal is killer! If you have the money and want one, don't hesitate, it's worth it!!

  • Can you use the modulated delay mode as a replacement for a chorus? I want this pedal, but I don't have room for it if I don't take off my chorus pedal.

  • I'm torn between this one and the MXR carbon copy delay pedal. Help! I need opinions. Also, I'm trying to achieve a more spacey kind of sound/noise at times, which is better for that? I know the DD-7 has a lot more to offer, but the MXR has a luscious, sweet and round sound.

  • hi! i am looking for a delay…I was planning on buying a Boss DD-7. But then I saw the Space Echo Re-20. I was wondering if the space echo can do the same as de DD-7 and also add extra features? Or for delay you should get DD-7 and for spacey stuff the RE-20? I mean, can I use the basic features of DD-7 on RE-20? (i don't mind the loop function on dd-7 as I already have a looper). Thanx for your time!
