do i need a special guitar to use this boss synth?
you can also use the GM-800 to bring your father back into your life
Hello friend, I'm a grs lover, I have the gr-55, gr-33 and gr-20, I'm thinking about purchasing the gm-800, but I have some doubts. From your point of view, has it improved the issues of ghost notes and latency in relation to the grs?
Can it do church bells?
In GM-800, is there any upright bass like tone as well?
This is so cool !
is the timpani sound a sample (is it possible to load samples into the gm800) or is it synthesized? Im asking cause it sounds awesome 🙂
I don’t know why, but the above string preset reminds me of the string MIDI that’s used with Sibelius Sounds 7
How does this track the low E? I know a lot of these kind of things only work down to the open A string, which kind of makes them worthless for bass (in my opinion).
Oh my God I want one of these so bad I can taste it.
You are amazing!
04:06 Holy Guaccamole dude, did you just play Nessun dorma on a Bass Guitar and a Guitar Synth ????Hats off
Nate a trio of question how long did it take you to find the right spot for the pickup ?have you found a way to split the bass and the midi ? Do you feel confident playing this live? And thanks for the video
Whoaaaaa ! Crazy !!!
Gm-800
Nice job demoing this. I’m going to buy one. You sold me on it!
Just found out thata Multiscale Bass (I own a Dingwall) tracks way better with my Boss – OC2 than my Fenders. The Dingwall with the OC2 is way less glitchy, even in the lower octaves. Don't know if this transfer as well to Bass to Midi stuff like the GM-800, But You should give it a try! 🙂
Damn, Nate!! Hands down, that was pretty awesome, and you have me thinking I need to go out and get this immediately.
I have the Roland bass synth modular with the midi pickup. Will that pickup work with this system
bass collection video pls
As Always, your demos are incredibly technical and artistic displays. I've had Roland Vbass(es) thru the years, and the biggest issues have been latency and low notes. I can't tell from your demo if either of these issues has been resolved in the new units. Also, a big selling point of the VBass was the COSM piece (emulation of other basses), does this unit have other bass sound as well?
i actualy love my roland JDXA and wondered how to get these sound without having to have a synth infront of me. Very interesting.
Awesome demo, Nate ???????? ???? this synth pedal sounds incredible. Especially on bass. I usually don’t use synth pedals, but it is fun to mess around with. It’s definitely inspiring when you experiment with synth pedals. Rather if it’s for recording or just testing it out on your own. It’s really fun to explore sounds like these.
Guitar, or bass synth? (Does it work with guitar?)
Love your playing with Devin Townsend
I’m not in the market for this at all. Couldn’t have clicked faster.
You briefly touched on this but I wasnt sure: Can you use the GK-5B to trigger midi in a DAW? If so, how does that work? The required cable is jack to jack isnt it? Can you still split the strings so each one is a different sound?
Boss IS the Boss of synth pedals! Great demo Nate.
Glorious intro.
