Love this. I feel weird because I'm using the GT-1 for a delay pedal for my flute and as a booster/funkizer for the Roland TB-03.
It seems it's a real problem to install it properly on Windows 11…
I installed it with its respective driver and the adobe air needed and just can't make the sound out of my brand new laptop ASUS DASH TUFF F15 CORE i7…

You also have to give the tone central access to your computer mic or it won't connect.

Thank you for clarifying how to access the downloaded tones!!!! There is NOTHING on the BOSS website that gives you step by step clarity on HOW to access the tones, once you're in Tone Central. It just gives you the download link in green at the bottom of the page. That took me forever to figure out!!!! They have steps on how to download the software, but not how to add the tones you want, or how to find them once it's downloaded.!!! SOOOOOOO HELPFUL! THANK YOU!!!

I bought a Boss Gt-1 and here's my review. Like a lot of multi-effects on the market, this one is relatively tedious as far as programming your own effects. As this video shows, there is a way around it by adapting it to your computer. Sadly, this is something I would have really appreciate knowing before I bought it. As for the GT-1 itself, it's a good multi-effect easy to play with 99 pre-select sounds you can choose from and another 99 that you can keep or reprogrammed according to your fancy. I wouldn't used it live because there's too much manipulation to do prior to a tune…and you just don't have the leisure to fuck around on stage. Yet, in my studio, it does the job. The more you play with it, the more you can take out of it. The one glitch and it is a big one; as demonstrated in this video, you should download the program as well as the driver necessary on the Boss website unless you plan to spend all of your practice hours on all four trying to find the right sound. In conclusion, yes but go first on the Boss website and download first the driver and then the program. This will make your manipulation of the GT-1 so much easier.

I’m having a bit of trouble with editing. When I add an effect that’s meant to only work for ctl1 (when I push the ctl1 button), it also applies to when the ctl1 is not on… how do I only have it apply to ctl1?

I want to find a fuzz factory (glitchy fuzz with low bias) type patch but tone centraal only devide sounds by a limited amount of genres… 🙁

are the effects slot permanent or can they be changed?
for instance if i want to use two delays but i dont want to use the deistortion? Can i change the distortion slot for other efect or is it permanent so distortion slot/block is always a distortion?
