  • Using only the factory IRs (144 Boss + 10 Celesion) there would be 11,935 combinations of any two in stereo (its the sum 154+153+152…etc). Plus any of the 154 individually in mono = 12,089 IR combinations x 8 amps = 96,712 total possible amp and IR combinations in either mono or stereo.

If you played each one for one minute, for 8 hours a day, it would take 202 days to get through all of them.

  • hi, can you please tell me how do normally amplify this pedal? frfr or something like that?does it work with classic amp and cabs, even with amp sims on? thanks

  • I got it and played it at a gig and it's going back as a piece of crap. Problem is you find a good sound and you can't save it. It reverts back to the same pre-set over and over. It's made for a nerd in the parents attic like this guy. NOT for a guy playing gigs. It's designed for the studio not for playing gigs. You find a good sound and you can't save it. It's backwards. you have to set it from that amp. Terrible design.

  • There are many IR products on the market, but I think DYNAX IR has the best sound. As stated in their product description, DYNAX IR is really fast. When using IRs, the pick attack is sometimes delayed, and it is difficult to add picking nuances, but their IR prevents all of that. It's revolutionary!

  • Not bad, not great… if you want to twiddle knobs all day go for it. As for live nope no way, without midi it’s useless unless you like to tap dance.
Since you ask thought I’d give my honest opinion.
    Thanks for the review.

PS I did some more research and found out that it does have midi input/output which wasn’t mentioned in the review. Might be worth a try.

  • could this be combined with a victory v4 power amp ? 1)could i use only the preamp of the boss connected to the victory? 2)could i use the cab sim of the boss into the preamp of the victory ? i need to mention that all of those would be connected to a pedal switcher using the 4 cable method so i could have my other pedals in pre or post depending on the patch i select ? and if all that is possible what would be the connections ? the goal would be to use the pedal switcher and for example bypass the boss and only have the victory v4 with some effects (pre or post) and then on another patch bypass the victory pre amp and have one selected from the boss with some of the effects in pre or post too.

  • Hi Rab… smashed my nose on this video just now (yeah i know is 2 y.o.) … wanna askyou just one thing:
when you start to mess with the "stereo field/spread" in my headphones i hear the "main" guitar sound slightly more on the left side (say about 10/11o.c.) even when you go over noon with the setting (my headphone listening is dead center). Do you noted this?… and if yes… is something about the different cabs selected for the L and R (i.e: one cab on the L is more strong in volume than the R) or about the different L & R mics?
I mean… when you say "more large stereo" i imagine something like from dead center to 10% L and 10% R and so on to say 50/50… but it sounds more like a pan pot.

  • Can you put this pedal in front of a clean fender amp.I imagine you would have to turn off the cab simulators.

  • I just got my IR-200 and am still studying how to use it best. This video is quite helpful

  • gloss over the send/return like everybody…….the return is stereo so a special cable is required.

  • Can you get stereo in (pedalboard) and stereo out from the ir-200? Before potentially getting this I would like to make sure I can get the wet effects before this go stereo ????????

  • This could be really good paired up with one of Boss's DD-200 Delay and MD-200 Modulation Pedals in the loop, a midi controller footswitch and an overdrive or two plus a compressor in front. For a compact pedalboard rig with a huge selection of tones and effects.

  • Hi I'd like to know what effects the Ir200 has exactly. I read it has modulation effects such as flanger, reverb and chorus. But what else? I couldn't find this info anywhere!

  • Can you hook up Overdrive pedals pre IR-200 and effect pedals via the effects loop and all the pedal sounds will carry over to the computer?
