  • Finally, and in only 10 minutes, a walk through of the panel controls. Awesome job. Bought this brand new at guitar center last week.

  • I’m shopping these right now. There are plenty of used amps out there. I’m sure I’ll find one eventually!

  • Gotta say I’ve really given this thing a try. I’ve watched Dave Simpson completely run this thing out and now this guy it’s either YouTube horrible audio or this thing really just sucks. I wouldn’t buy this for anything if I was listening to it on YouTube and I’m not being an ass it’s just what it is.

  • You forgot to mention each channel has A bank for channel 1 and B bank for channel 2 so you can save total of 4 presets on your amp!

  • Great demo (yes, it was 5 years ago but I missed it) which was easy to understand. I think I would
probably be very happy with a mk1. Is there really much of a difference with the later mk2 version?
The mk1 versions change hands at lower prices these days and would suit most of my needs. Big
thanks for the demo and really excellent playing. ????????

  • Thank you for this excellent guide. I was going to buy a Fender Mustang, I will buy a Katana tomorrow.

  • went in to store to try it. the deal breaker for me was the clean channel is WAY lower volume than the dirty. several amps have this issue. how hard is it to make the 2 channel volumes atleast close? i am staying with my clean amp and pedal board thanks. should do a video on this

  • Brilliant demo, and clear presentation – thanks for teaching me how to sort the tones and effects out.

  • Amazing! Just got the squire stratocaster with the katana mk50ii only used for a year and paid 380 for both. I really like the sound. I'm just a beginner

  • I'd be interested in taking the boss katana MK2 50 to play and I'd like to take the opportunity to use it as a singing amplifier for my sister as well. do you think it's usable (setting the sound to clean or acoustic with no effects) or is it better to avoid?

I underline that I have a wireless microphone system to possibly connect to the amp.

  • Hi, I can’t find the 2nd part to this video about the foot switch. A buddy just gave me this amp yesterday, so I’m trying to learn about it. I already fished through all of this channel’s videos and couldn’t find it.

    Thank You

  • Would you recommend the katana or the black star id series amps? I've owned both, a new katana MKII 50 limited edition white, and I had a black star ID: 260, That thing was amazing. I haven't gotten to actually play my katana yet because I'm waiting for my guitar to get here right now. So if you've played both amps, I'm interested in knowing what you're true thoughts are on both in comparison please. Even better, do a VS video maybe?

  • To the far right of the screen in your video, I'm not sure if you noticed it yet, but the green screen is causing the headstock of your guitar to disappear behind the digital wall. Just letting you know, who knows if you'll even see this, but maybe something you could improve on for your content maybe, just to make it that much better. Thank you for the video!

  • I wish I had found this video before the multitude of time I wasted on other videos. That old saying KISS (keep it simple stupid) really applies here. You made this so easy and clear. Thank you !!

  • I know I’m three years late on the video. But this is still the best video talking about this wonderful amp. Can’t wait to get it and thank you for this series!

  • Was any one else super confused by the picture of the buttons set to Brown sound, and the another picture of smaller buttons set to another sound?

  • The Fender Mustang ruined my attitude towards this kind of amp. I recently got my dream guitar but the pickup sounded weak and muddy. I went to a store and plugged into a tube amp. Problem solved! It felt different as well. So nice! Problem: My wife works from home (permanent) and is on the phone a lot. The headphones and power settings give points to the Katana. This was my first time ever to plug into a tube amp so if I turned into a "tube snob" it's only because of what I heard and felt, not a snob opinion. The prices are enough to prevent me from being a tube snob. The Katana is in my budget. I am wary of an amp i need to connect to my p.c. What if the internet or my computer goes down? I just want to plug and play with a blues tube sound. I'm 63 but know my way around a p.c., I just don't want to use it for my guitar amp. I will watch the video again. I tried the 100 in the store (sold out of the 50) but didn't buy it.

  • I purchased one of these a couple years back I've tried but I can't get a sound that I like out of the thing the amp has no bottom end no matter what I've tried this thing is pretty much just a an effect processor with a cheap solid state amp to drive it.

  • Nobody has been able to tell me if the tube logic system makes this amp 50 watts tube-ish or 50 watts solid state-y. ????????

  • Thank you so much. I have been wondering about buying this amp. You have made me want to buy one. Keep up the good work.
