  • Damn Marty, when I first started watching you a couple of years ago it was like – put your fingers on these frets. Now I know quite a bit, even your amp demos are like guitar lessons if you know what you're looking at ❤

  • The best sounds the katana produces are that on the clean and brown channel. The key is to keep the presence and treble down ( like maybe 9 o clock ⏰) or close to there. Keep your mids high ( like 3 o clock ????️) bass halfway. Those are my fav settings

  • Testing one last night honestly the 50 amp it’s Ok , but the 100 watt you just more bang for the money I personally play 1960,1970”s and the 80”s with only the amp and playing with the settings you can actually get the clean rock you can set it up for that EVH sound ZZ Top sound quality and BBking blues , Lynyrd Skynyrd , metallica and Hendrix and anything in between. It’s take only a few minutes to fine tune the eq . Do your research ( read the instructions) it has that sound quality and covers a wide range and the headphones hook them up you got full stereo quality sound not mono I played a $3500 les Paul through it and a $500 strat the quality is there you just have to play around with it you will find that era of 60-70-80 tones . I’m very pleased with it’s range

  • Hey Marty!! Thanks for all you do! Any chance you can upload a Damn The Torpedoes era style Petty/Campbell tone? ????????

  • As a novice do these newer amps help with the buzzing I get on my Fender Champion 40? I have a LP Jr. and it is a bit annoying. Or is that the power source/cable issue?

  • Future Video Suggestion: I would love a lesson on how to upload Marty Music Katana Patches to my Katana Gen3 Artist amp. I have the Bluetooth upgrade and have been struggling to find YouTube videos explaining how to use patches outside the Boss Tone Studio and Katana Librarian apps. Do I need to connect with a USB to a laptop? Is there a way to load from my iPhone using the bluetooth connection? Love the channel!

  • seems like i cant get the Bluetooth to be loud enough so i can actually hear it when i play Guitar, when im connected with my Android Phone.
Are there any Tricks to boost that sound? Are there any Settings on the Katana i had to do so its actually good enough to use it?

  • Not much a fan of this one. I don't like how I have to hook up the amp to an app or computer to access the other presets. It's nice to see Marty doing a review because most of the ones I've seen are the usual YouTuber with a Stratocaster playing in clean tone. Like the amp is designed for dad bands playing at the church carnival

  • Hi Marty, I'm just learning on your acoustic beginner's lessons, and am considering buying an electric as well. Between this Boss Katana gen3 100 and the Fender Mustang GTX 100, which would you recommend? I'm afraid of being overwhelmed w/ TMI. Thanks for any constructive suggestions. Cheers from Louisiana!
