2:13 I've always wondered why go through the extra hassle of creating locking tuners when these bad boys seem to do the job. I guess for more tuning stability?
Damn..I was using this guitar for years without knowing anything. I just tested it at my jamming section and taped all the buttons when I got the sound I liked. It has been 12 years since then. ????

I love the versatility of Jaguars, even my single coil squire can get me a range of sounds from full bright tones to scooped heavier tones!

This is late and not about this guitar. But the Jem wiggle stick issue. My LTD with a FR developed this issue over time. Either the bar or the screw that holds the trem arm holder in has crushed down enough the two surfaces are too far apart to give enough friction to keep the bar from falling. I put a piece of thick paper packaging down the hole the bar sticks into and it is acting normal again.
Why do people try to pronounce it different, its a fn jaguar. Not a jaguiar

Same issue: rib that protrudes a bit from BJJ. It's a great guitar and feels great; however, this thing is heavy! It's a very heavy guitar to be playing for an extended period of time while standing and/or performing. The sound versatility and the playability are fantastic, though. I've had it for a few years now, but I think I should have gotten it professionally adjusted, and I think I'll be doing that soon.

I had a special hh Japan made from the early 2000s. I loved that guitar, and even my guitar teacher who was a 80’s guitars guy was very fond of it. I got rid of it stupidly in need of cash.
Trying to decide if I want to try to find that one again or get something like this now
When I go for a sound through all the HB, Teles, Strats I end up with exactly that Jag lately. All the others are more or less one trick ponys – the Jaguar can do it all!!❤
Leads are little thin but definitely a versatile guitar I would get one

Whammy broke in, probably your nutslots and saddle grooves got broken in/polished by the back and forth moving strings.
Dude. I got the same Bjj injury on my left side. Had a guy training for pan-ams come in randomly to train with our team and he was going ham. Still sticks out 6 years later.
First of all, awesome review! As for the thumbwheels, I have an idea – maybe you could stick or paint something bright on them, like a white dot? Or even UV or phosphorous ink if you want to be able to see them in the dark or under UV light?
This was also my first "serious" guitar, purchased in 2008. I was big into My Bloody Valentine and Nirvana, and this seemed to cover both bases. Although my trem arm is longer than yours. Wonder if you have a strat arm…
Thinking about selling my super rare 1997 MIJ Cobain Jaguar and picking one these up as it's replacement. Hard decision though, not a guitar you can just find again if you want it back.
I've always wondered about the 24" scale length.
How does it feel ?
Jaguars should have single coils.
I bought my dream jaguar in '96, 3 tone sunburst with 2 single coils. It buzzed all the time unless I held my hand on the bridge. The bridge itself rocked back and forth during play and threw it out of tune. The buttons and switches were neat looking but more complicated for my amateur playing/ear. I sold it and wasn't sad to see it go.
Please tell me what you think of the 24" scale… I'm a builder and a player. As a player that LOVES the bendy string and chord feel of a 24" scale, but there just isn't much in the 24" scale arena out there.
I'm building a series of 24" scale, set neck guitars in semi-hallow body, along with some classic shapes in solid bodies, like both Gibson, Fender and especially my own original shapes I think people are going to really like.
So please give me you feelings about the 24" scale length as seen on the Jaguar. Thank you in advance for your help.

I’ve owned this guitar for about 11 years now and it’s become my workhorse. You can find a way to fit it into almost anything you want to play. I swapped out the bridge for a Mastery but otherwise my only complaint is the switches feel loose and cheap. It’s a brilliant instrument.
