I use the Echo Square for my guitar. It's a great delay pedal & I use it often. Great value for the price. Combo that with the Holy Wars distortion pedal for some serious shredding.
I notice one thing with all of these bass fly rigs. They all do a fair representation of the Sansamp BDDI, which is great. They always have a comp that is working too hard to be all that useful, but the Sansamp copy is worth it.
If budget is $400, consider saving a little more and get an hx stomp for $550.
Donne has some really good stuff for so the money! I have their Alpha Cruncher (delay, chorus, distortion) which sounds damn good on bass. The chorus is very subtle even when maxed out, but all the effects together sound amazing! I also have their Circle Looper which is very useful! Great drums sounds and metronomes in multiple genres and time signatures, but I must admit the disco drums are the worst in my opinion. I wanted to get their Alpha Bass but it seems to be discontinued and last I checked, no restocking in the works. Great sounding board for a fraction of the total of my huge ass Pedaltrain Classic Pro with 12 mostly EHX pedals!
How about Mooer pedals? Tender Octaver II with its “swell” switch, and their Bass Sweeper envelope filter look pretty tasty.
Killer tones for a minimal cost!! Wow, that sounds great.
and not even a year later most of these links are no good for the pedals. UGH!
Donner Fuzz Seeker is hard to find. Did it get discontinued ?
I can't find that alpha anywhere online.
Like the content !!!
hi Patric , any chance of a tab of your intro song ? thank you
Cool content dude! Very useful stuff
Teach. Me. To. Write. Riffs. Gah, your intros always blow me away
Oh T-40 lust!!! I wish I had bought one years ago!
"Building my budget pedalboard"
Expectation: $50
Life is hard
Manchester Orchestra! Love the shirt!
Nevermind the pedals, lets see more of that Peavey T45. The heaviest bass in the world but monster tone
Hey can you give the schecter stiletto extreme 4 bass a look in the future? Would be great to see some videos on that.
Funny how this was released when they have a BOGO sale ???? anyways I bought the Fuzz Seeker and Alpha Bass ????
all works great for me except the drive+compressor – that sounds pretty weak compared to all the other sounds! but hey – 365 bucks!!!! (and I'm sure it could be ballanced to sound as good as the other sounds!!!)
Sweet Manchester shirt!
I’ll be seeing them in March ????
Sounds sick af. Great bass lines too!
Peavey T40! The most underrated and overweight bass ever made
Cheap, awesome bass pedal: Caline Wine Cellar. Won’t play without it
A minute and a half in and I’m already sure I’m buying all the pedals!
Awesome. Thanks! ????
I love all your early darkglass demos and come back to your channel to hear them every now and again, as well as watch new videos, because you genuinely have one of the best OD tones I've ever heard. However, I have to say the delay tone/riff you did in this video, may be one of your absolute best parts you've ever come up with. BRAVO.
That T-40 though ????
Great showcase video Patrick however………… If you were smart you could go and get a multi effects board lets say like a Zoom G5n (approx $340) which will spank any budget DIY board and you'll even have enough change to buy a set of Rotosounds! Personally I use a vintage Boss GT3 which despite being about 25 years old would still beat 'budget pedals'.
I've really been wanting to experiment with stacked delay pedals lately. That Echo Square might be the perfect complement to my JHS 3 Series Delay.
Bro i know your also a pick player coz i follow you for quite some time now. What is your pick of choice?? Thank you and keep the video’s coming!
Nux Mod Core. Definetly a great pedal for having fun at home. Usefull for recording
No. Not with this power supply.
The pedals are OK, the PS is total crap.
Outs are not isolated and currents not per spec. The worst part is that currents aren't stable. Couldn't drive digital pedals.
Had it and got it replaced with a TrueTone.
BADASSS PATRICK!!!!!!!!!!!! The playing and pedal board info!
I dunno about this, Zoom B3n is gonna get you more options, comparable (or better) sound at a lesser price, especially buying used. Or get a Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig V2 for 300 bucks that's gonna last you a lifetime.
It is awesome the options a begginer have to start playing. Awesome pedals and bass (ok…guitars also :)) at a budget price. Once I made a pedal board with 75 euros max. Great video and it is great you keep showing more price friendly articles! Keep up the good work
Try deadbeat pedals
????????
I bought that Donner DT-1 tuner pedal a while back. It’s a good little tuner! Pleasantly surprised by it. Donner’s stuff seems to be well made.
Awesome playing and tones!
The Alpha Bass has been essential on my 'budget board'! It has a Balanced XLR out to boot! I have to switch the Compressor off when using the Chorus due to some weird hum, but maybe that's just my signal…
The DT-1 Tuner lights up like a Christmas tree. I use a Dark Mouse (Rat clone) for my fuzz, and my board is powered by a DP-Z power supply. Overall, great video, Patrick!
no luck for Europeans… they are well over 140Eur/164$ with shipping included…:( big sad
