51:49 Ah!! This was my middle school jam – wow so amazing to go BTS with someone I use to love to rock out to ???? ????
I saw Butch Walker in middle school at 99x rocks for free in Atlanta!!! Those weee the days
OMG I MET YOU BEFORE! I thought you looked familiar but now that I know you Butch I just put it all together lol. Good to see you are doing well!
A lot of that story at the beginning probably shud hav stayed under the hat.. loll
they start “freak of the week” me: starts singing the chorus at the top of my lungs in the car
Butch is a legend.
Great interview, I love that injected album. Both actually. Maybe two of my favorite albums in the last 25 years.
Got me hooked from the first minute.
This needs a Part 2. He's had an amazing solo career that I'd love to hear discussed.
I don't use the word delightful often. But when I do, there's a good chance Rick Beato is involved. He really knows how to stay out of the way of a good story. Cheers!!
Always the bass player. lol
Btw avril fans it's @1.11.30
Talked back and forth with Butch on Instagram DMs in like 2018, he’s such an embracing musician and loves talking guitars and different tunes, etc… great to see him get his flowers here as well!
No fucking way he got Butch
I saw Butch Walker years ago at House of Blues in Chicago. I thought the show was great, but I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this interview. One of my favorites interviews you’ve done, Rick.
Dated a girl who turned me on to Butch in the early 00’s. Little did she know her mancrush would become the artist I love the most in this world.
Thank you for this. The world needs more long form Butch conversations.
I found Butch by good luck in MySpace or other sides of the net. Still remember lyrics to his 2004 album as I just learned. This revived so many memories. This was such a pleasant surprise. Eager to listen more of what else he's been up to!
Thank You for My Happy Ending, Butch! What a banger! ❤
He was a music producer of (for me) the best record from Sevendust (Seasons).
Didn’t realize Butch was on so many albums I enjoyed since Marvelous 3! Rick, thank you for this great interview and fun trip down memory lane!
Loved this one. Mentioning Evan Taunbenfeld was heart warming haha. What a throwback. Crazy how good those kids were at like 18 years old back then.
August is falling ????????
