  • Jesus love you and wants a real and intimate relationship with you. He wants to give you comfort and peace and is knocking at the door of your heart waiting for you to let him in. Everything is life happens for a reason. Put you full trust and faith in God and the plan he has for your life. The challenges and obstacles you face are there to prepare you and shape you into the person God wants you to be. He can turn what was meant for evil and turn it for good. Jesus died on the cross for you, so that you may have eternal life and when you accept him into your heart God will gift you with the Holy Spirit. He is the only one who can fill that empty void you have in your heart. God Bless!!!

  • Good luck with adding a pickup…I've tried tranducers and they don't do it….magnet PU isn't too bad but still not amazing. The bottom end is almost uncontrollable.

  • Hey Andy, I was looking to buy one of these, but I've come across reviews stating that the string spacing at the saddle is really narrow, aroundish 1 & 15/16" instead of the standard 2 & 1/8." Does your FS-800 have that narrow saddle string spacing, or is it the regular spacing? You make this little Yamaha sound great. Thanks so much! Cheers.

  • I really like Yamaha guitars from a value per dollar perspective. I have owned a 1970 red label FG180 since 1984. Despite much neglect and some abuse, it still sounds and plays great.

  • every time I play one of those at guitar center I'm impressed, especially when I play any other guitar in the same price range. Yamaha is the Honda of guitars….

  • Bought an FS800 as a living room wall hanger a few months ago (decided on the sandburst). So far so good! Post a follow up vid once you’ve sanded!

  • The guitar became louder, or maybe just more hi-fi.
It's like you took a moving blanket off of speaker. Wider frequency range potential.

  • Sounds better for sure. I set the nut first and then the saddle. Reason being is that the nut should be fret zero so your nut slots should roughly be the height of your frets. It’s easier to get that set and then adjust the saddle. So I’ll get that, measure the action at the 12th fret and lower the saddle until that 12th action is right. Brian Kimsey has some videos and page on his site that describe the nut fist and saddle second approach as well as the action measurements he shoots for.
The next cheap modification to make is slotting the bridge pin holes to get the ball of the string good contact on the bridge plate on the underside of the top and then replace the plastic bridge pins with unslotted wood pins.

  • Jeez man you can play your ass off! Really good playing style.
These are a great upgrade and should always require some fitting. They can either make them fit everything poorly or make it so you have to make adjustments and then it's as perfect as you want it to be. ???? It's godly work so go slow and keep on mind it's easier to take a little more of than it is to put some back

  • I play a classical guitar, it's hard for me to get used to the neck of an acoustic, will a guitar like guild 240 with a flatter neck radius be easier to play?.

  • For sure, makes a big difference!! Of course, you have now put 2-5 luthiers in danger. Sigh… LOL

  • "Sand that sucker down" sounds like a perfect title for a new fiddle tune. Definitve improvement in tone even through Youtube

  • I've done that on two cheap Asian guitars I own (one solid top and one all solid) and in both cases the improvement in sound was quite dramatic. Yes you have to do a bit of sanding to get the action to your likeing, but it's definitely worth thed effort IMHO.
