Hi. I search about if someone knows why there isnt the option to change a effect in all the presets, something like Boss do in the gt series. Its something that I miss in helix ecosystem, sometimes you have to change your rever mix, a litlle bit of gain in a od, and you have to tweak every patch.
This makes me have a reverb pedal to have a global reverb that I can change depending the rooms, pubs conditions, and an external delay and drive for the same case.
Do you know something about that, if they will implement it?
Thanks for your great job.
Helix with Glenn De Lune patches is the win for cover bands, just small tweaks and of I go. I do have about 30 boutique pedals and can't even do basic Slash or Knopfler tone on them. A pedal board that costs 10X times a Helix does mind you. Nah pedals are for people with original material only to find your sound and you sound only.
In the first 3 minutes I’m looking on Craigslist for one of these amps. Thanks!
I'm late to Helix party. I am a tube / pedal board player. I'm 3:49 building my home studio and purchased the Helix to use with my tube amps. Is anyone still doing this? I yae a Freytte Power Station 100 for nuce cranked tones at a manageable volume.
Im hopefully that the Helix will work as my interface for recording too.
So far it seems lihe Stece is the go to guy for everything Helix. I appreciate the help.
With the Helix since '16 and ready for Yamaha to, "Cry 'Havoc!', and let slip the Dogs of Tone @ Line6. Please Yamaha; Helix 2 is overdue! Honestly shopping for solutions to the DSP limit issues running in stereo and needing more cycles for modulation and filter effects. Current Plan B: the new Enzo X from Meris. Would much rather gift my Helix to a local music school and buy from Line 6 a new unit with all the features folks mention @ Ideascale. Appreciate you JS; please carry on Sir!
The only thing I need in the Helix v2 is a larger character limit for patch naming
The only way I ever got mine to feel like an amp was to shove a tonex in the fx send and return … Its a great pedal and by far the most versatile,, but the drives are fizzy and the distortions are the same and there is no grab when you hit the strings the sound just disappears even with the sag can't really get the feel. I've had mine since they first came out and fought with it until about 3 months ago until I got the tonex and have to say it works really well with the helix.
Crazy how the Helix holds up against competition after all these years.
Nope ! Axefx and then FM9 blew it away years ago !
Better routing better effects more amps better editor
More updates ! better IRs editing multi IRs control !
More control over functionality!
Endless
Helix shitty sliders in the 80s editor !
It sounds really good
Killer video as always! Great picks
Forever a fan of your Helix videos, Jason.
Thank you for the videos.
I l'iked' simply because of the tshirt
Helix rules
Thanks Jason — your vids have been really helpful when I was figuring out my Pod-Go & Stomp — love these for the editing and lots of effects and the updates have continued to be absolutely awesome — I front end them with a Kingsley Minstrel and it's a completely new level of goodness but any decent pedal in front is going to make a big difference in feel/response. Great time to be a guitar player!!
I recently made a new pedal board with midi, nothing beats the ease of use and tones you can get in the helix….im headed back!
I'm so glad I got a Helix when I did. Easily the best investment I've ever made.
Really nice selection, i use to do blind tests and turn the amp selection knob just to choose amp by ear and i always stop on the line6 voltage. ???? What moonitors you use at home to make the helix presets?
great tone, great playing… the guitar teacher in me says "tuck that pinkie in or i'll cut it off!" but clearly it's working for you as evidenced by these tasty licks
i loved modellers and had a variety of them kemper helix and axefx fm and the mustang but recently i got a mesa dual rec with a captor x.
and i refere to the modelers as mastrubating and the real dual rectifier as sex
both are great but nothing beats the real deal
HX Stomp XL with HX One- Best Modeler Ever in 2025!
Great post dude ,cracking tones cheers
Helix is good. Better than FM3 for my case because the made the plugin version, so I can work with my tones
My Top 5:
#1 Brit 2203 (perfect rock amp)
#2 US Dripman Nrm (country, roots, edge of breakup)
#3 Grammatico GSG (high headroom clean)
#4 Matchstick Ch 1 (chime w/ warmth)
#5 MOO)))N Brt (doom machine)
Some underrated gems:
Brit P75 Brt (best 'Marshall' in Helix up until Brit 2203 imo)
Divided Duo (killer chime / edge of breakup amp)
US Double Nrm (warm, vintage cleans)
Solo Lead Clean, Crunch, and OD
just entered to the helix world by buying used helix rack for 650 euros. Porbably going to be the best purchase that I have ever made
Nice video thank you , by the way love your T-shirt ????
Great Work as usual Jason ????Got mates with Axe FX 3 or Quad Cortex and we A/B – It still holds up, plus the creative / unique FX Legacy & New are inspiring for experimentation, unique soundscapes, and easier to navigate, The EVH Red Channel amp is a BEAST the 1st I don't need a Pre or Post Eq to get' THAT' EVH tone and Early Metallica Chug as well as more brutal Whitechapel Down tuned brutality.
Plus with each update it's 18 months of Updating Everything from the ground up which makes the Older models more effecient and better sounding – according to Eric Klien Line 6 at Namm????
Absolutely. If you have the sounds you like now, then they're still good after something else comes out.
Well…what's better?
Yeah, I still use it for my needs ( COVERS) Steve did a similar VID on same Topic after NAMM. 🙂 Thx Jason
POD Go user here, this Brit 2203 model is my absolutely favorite amp in this new update.
I have recently gone the route of my Helix as my main preamp (amp models) and effects into a poweramp into cabinets. I still have a few tube amps, but my setup is damn good. If it wasn't for Scott Holiday who does the same, I would have never tried this setup.
I wouldn't give up my Helix for any other modeler
Of course
Well Done, Jason.Always sound great.
They really hit it out of the park with the Helix. It's the updates that make it so great.
