Can This Bass Amp Replace A Pedalboard?

This new Darkglass bass amp could be the amp that replaces my pedalboard on gigs. Today I’m testing and reviewing the Darkglass Infinity 500 210 Combo bass amp to see if it can replace my pedal board.

  • are you sure the Darkglass Suite doesn’t have a chorus? I have an Exponent 500 and the suite offers me a chorus effect. It’s called something like mint chocolate or something…

  • Darkglass were smart to contact you for a review. You are one of the nicest people on Youtube and a phenomenal bassist that can take them outside the metal cliche.

  • Dude. I love to watch your videos. But I just watched two amp reviews and now I have two new GAS (gear acquisition syndrome) wishes floating around in my head.

  • Hey Travis, great review, hoping you could answer my question, how would you compare this to the GK fusion, i know the speaker configuration is a bit different, but i purchased the GK after your last great review on that amp. I did go with the legacy version (without the tube pre) and i'm blown away by it as well. Hope you find the time to give us your thoughts or better yet do a comparison video…..

  • Maybe a stupid question but what if they went out of business in 10 years and the software isn't supported by the OS of the future?

  • that's not a cab, that's a dream. unfortunately, costs a almost like car in my country (not joking)

  • It seems like the Boss Katana 210 Bass would be the better play, at 1/3 the price and you can add optional foot control & bluetooth for $160 more.

  • Great video ….You said “dope” more times than Charlemagne The God “ on “The Breakfast Club”, lol.

  • Honestly? That doesn’t differ anything from the Fender stage 800 I have. The fender also has an Aux port this one doesn’t have. I can also use a 5 button foot switch with turner, and change over 150 presets I can choose thru my phone! And it’s 800 watts. I don’t see this one being better

  • I’m not convinced anyone but another musician would ever notice the tonal differences of the bass guitar (sometimes I think I could die of a heart attack mid-set and no one would realize it until load-out).
People seem to only notice if it sounds good or bad.

  • Also fell in love with Darkglass stuff, not being a heavy metal player myself.
Your next "wow" effect would be that the presets can also be controlled via footswitch with MIDI. Darkglass has also released their own MIDI footswitch, which can be self-powered by the provided 7-pin MIDI cable plugged into the Infinity combo. ????

  • Great to see an amp review where it is actually tested in a gig scenario. Also interesting because Darkglass are typically assumed to be metal amps but you showed its versatility in a different genre.
