Capturing Painkiller Guitar Tone – Marshall DSL20 Vortex Mic Technique

I absolutely love this album and always wondered how they got that ear pearcing mid range that bounces around and cuts through the mix.
It’s all about the placement of the room mic so it picks up reflections and goes in/out of phase with the close mic.
So we hit 100k subs and I’m humbled to say the least. YouTube has been my outlet, side project and passion for over a decade.
I thank you all…
Thanks for tuning in again, feel free to email me with any questions at Lambchopper678@me.com Due to a fairly large volume I might not be able to get back as quick as I used to.
