  • I'm not really a country guy, but I could listen to Brent Mason and Andy Wood all day. Got my Hot Wired today. Awesome.

  • I think it takes a lot of guts to try to play a Brent Mason solo and compare it with his track…there's no fkn possible way you won't look like a hack job in comparison…lol

    I think you got it's pretty close…way better than I could…lol

  • Brian…loved the video….I have seen Brent play this and he is picking the intro close to the bridge to get that "tight tele" sound. I did it and thats pretty much the sound he got doing that technique.

  • Way cool break down. To me, the "fiddle stomp" sounds like the fiddle player was "wacking" or slapping the strings with the bow. I'm kind of a guitar player and kind of a fiddle player.

  • But I do have a Serious question, what effects are they using to get that Double Guitar sound on most of those Chicken Picken Leads? I've tried Course, Flanger, Delay and Compressor but Switched The Course to Flanger but keeping the delay and compressor going, delay on fast slap back but Still Can't get that Twin Guitar effect! What going on?

  • Can I ask you a question? Why the hell did Brent even have the delay on? I mean it's like he's got it set so slow it's like, Bop,……. bop,….. Bop,…… bop,. And there is shredding it and you don't even hear the delay until he hits that last note LOL and it's like oh yeah! he had a delay on didn't he? LOL couldn't hear it until that last note LOL just Checking ????

  • Brent is awesome, your video is great, and Wampler pedals are the BEST. How do I get close to that sound? '52 reissue Tele, w/ Seymore Duncan "Broadcaster" pickup, Wampler Ego Compressor, '65 reissue twin, spring reverb…

  • How do you get that actual song with separate tracks for logic? That would be killer for me to practice guitar by isolating things in logic or GarageBand

  • Brian….good stuff…what “analyzer” do you use to break these down?

From May 1990, my first AJ CD, I was like “who the heck is that on guitar.” It’s a “signature Alan Jackson sound”…..no doubt.
Brent Mason helped create it. And the drums…Eddie Bauer..I’m play percussion.

  • First time here, got to say, that Grey Guitar was the one you should have used, so cool. But good playing man. And if anyone else here slows down songs on Utube to work them out , you know just what a Great Brent is when you hear all those out of tune bends by other respected players.
