Kingfish does not trifle with excess pedals! After the guitar, his signal starts with a Shure Wireless BLX4, which hits a Boss TU3w Tuner. From there, the route is a Dunlop Cry Baby Mini Wah, a Marshall Shredmaster, and a Boss DD3 Delay. The pedals live on a Pedaltrain Nano board and were assembled by Barry O’Neal at XAct Tone Solutions. He keeps a handful of alternative overdrives backstage, in the event of any stompbox breakdowns.

Contour controls the high/ low frequency of the mids. Allows you to scoop the mids if you want. It's kind of like a single knob EQ. For your setup, it can help you find the lows you said you like.

From looking at that pedal the contour nob could be which midrange frequency to boost, so all the way down would be boost the lower mids.
Any distortion pedal would sounds incredible with him

What I hear when pedals, amps, etc, have a contour control, is more mids in one side, or more scooped "V eq type" sond in the other… Kingfish is a monster player!!
