  • This amp is awesome, I will never understand the hate it gets. The bad reviews did persuade me to buy other amps first, but I returned them all. I bought a Code 50, and found the tone I have been looking for. Sure there are certain presets that aren't great, but that's the case with any digital amp.

  • I have Code 100H, I turn off cab sim, use JTM45 setting, vintage 30w power amp, turn off everything else and use a tube screamer, then you get a great sound. I have a JTM45 with 1960AHW for daytime or gigging, and I use code 100H for night time room playing, in that cab I have it sounds awesome for low volume playing and practicing, if everyone is asleep then I use a 1×12 with G12H also sounds great at low volume.

  • I recommend turning cab off for most setting as it makes it sound more like an actual classic Marshall cabinet. The cab effects the code gives isn’t great quality but everything else works good.
