Consider The Source Return with “The Stare” – No Treble
Consider The Source has returned with The Stare, a five-song album written and recorded during the pandemic. The trio enlisted the help of producer David Prater, who is well known for his work with Dream Theater on their 1992 breakout album Images and Words.
“When we recorded this album during the pandemic in 2020 our career and the world in general were at a very uncertain place. With our touring schedule cut to a halt and all music venues shut down we honestly didn’t know if we would get through it all,” the band shares. “One thing was certain though, that we still wanted to create music and put it out into the world. So we got together with Producer David Prater and worked on a 5-song collection, all living together in Asheville, NC during the process. It was a special time, one we will always remember and hope you can hear it in the music. Thank you all for believing in and supporting us to be able to continue to pursue our passion. We have the best fans in the world and can’t wait to perform these new songs live for you!”
Of course, CTS features John Ferrara’s jaw-dropping bass playing. His unique approach includes fingerstyle, tap, slap, and more to drive the grooves. You can hear and see all of that in the video for “Mouthbreather,” which also showcases his use of a Moog Taurus pedal system.
The Stare is available now on CD and LP through their Hello Merch store and digitally via Bandcamp, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more.
