Blues chord Progression in the key of D

Before we dive into the lick itself, let’s take a moment to talk about the key of D. The key of D is a popular key for blues guitar playing because it’s relatively easy to play in, and it has a distinctive sound that’s well-suited to the blues. In the key of D, the chords are D, G, and A, and you can use the D pentatonic or blues scale to improvise over these chords.
