In this video, we are showcasing the C7-CE SP. This guitar is available with a solid European spruce top or a solid Canadian cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It also features a Fishman Presys Blend pickup with onboard digital tuner. The Indian rosewood back and sides contribute to this lightweight guitar’s loud and vibrant tone. • How is the overall sustain especially of the high E comparing to the normal model without cutaway?

  • Im wanting this guitar but it's not available at guitar center with the cutaway and electronics. Ill probably settle for the non cutaway with no electronics and add the electronics myself later. Ill just be a little limited as to what i can play on it without the cutaway

  • I'm trying to decide between the cedar and spruce the both sound and look amazing, but is it true that cedar are more likely to have damage from the bridge coming off? i live in florida and the weather is humid and hot but i like the cedar look better should i worry? whats the warranty on this guitar? if i get it brand new from amazon would still have warranty?

  • The recording sounds neat.. from the fishman pickup what did you connect to ?/ the amp? the soundcard ? or whatever you did ?

  • Refering to the comment about the sides of this guitar being solid rosewood, that is incorrect. The sides and back are laminated Indian Rosewood. Nothing wrong with that, still a great sounding guitar. But you must go up to a C10 to get to solid rosewood alll around. A C9 is solid as well, however back and sides are mahogany. Both are damn killer guitars.

  • I'm very pleased for your comment.
So if I put a sound-hole cover in C7-CE SP in amplified usage, can I say that Cordoba C7-CE SP beats C5-CE Thinbody in every parameters? Is C7-CE SP more versatile than C5-CE Thinbody and more capable to play many musical styles (classical, rock, country, pop)?

Just one more question: what's the difference between Cordoba C7-CE and Cordoba C7-CE SP/IN?

  • Hi Miguel,

The C7-CE and the C5-CET are very different models, the main differences are the woods and the body size: the C7-CE has Indian rosewood back/sides and the C5-CET has mahogany back/sides. The two guitars also have different Fishman pickups (more details on our site) and the thinbody style on the C5-CET can help minimize feedback. If you need more details, feel free to write us via our website! Thanks!

  • Great video.
I'm going to buy a Cordoba guitar, for concert usage (for gigging). But what are the main differences between these guitar – cordoba c7-ce sp and cordoba c5-cet (thin body)? What are the vantages of a thin body guitar?

  • Is this a good intermediate guitar ? I've been playing for about 5 months now and I want to upgrade. Right now I'm using a Takamine G124

  • The mic on the Presys blend is a great addition to the circuit to increase the natural/organic character of the pickup tone. In any applications where you would normally use the pickup, in a live setting, through an amp especially, this is a great feature that will increase the tonal possibilities of the guitar. However, the internal mic may not satisfy in a studio setting, where the goal is the most accurate reproduction, so we recommend using a studio quality condenser mic when recording.

  • A question: is the mic of presys blend good or decent? I have the presys+ in my guitar (without mic) and I don't know if is a good idea change it for the presys blend or buy a mic for guitar. Thanks for music.

  • Hi naoufal20, the C7-CE CD has a cedar top. This model is played by artist Selah Sue – you can see it (and hear it) featured in a lot of her videos and interviews. She autographed her guitar and gave it away to a contest winner – you can also check out the video Cozy Lua – Honor (Cordoba C7-CE) by Daria Splace (the contest winner) for another listen. Full specs are also available on our website!
