  • Thank you for your nice review. This was me very first bass guitar and I loved it soooo much.
I confirm that the swith is for the configuration of the humbucker. The middle position set the humbucker in parallel mode (with a fat sound) and the edges positions are for selecting the single coil only (either the one close to the bridge alone or the one close to the neck alone)
After some years, I found a used fretless version of it (limited edition with an additional piezzo pickup), the GB75PFL
The picjups were more dynamic than the basic version, making the bass more sensible, a real pleasure.
One day, I had a big luck to find the fretted version of this fretless, so with the piezzo pickup and limited edition, the GB75P, so I immediately bought it and sold my first GB75.
I never regret to have bought these fantastic basses, and I even upgraded the preamp and the pickup (I put some bartolini on the fretless and delano on the fretted.
These basses are a real pleasure to play each day, I will never sell them for sure !
    Have fun with yours !

  • I love them, they have a great, resonant tone. I prefer these because of the 34” scale. They’re basically a Lakland skyline but with a normal scale length and a minimal finish which gives a different fingerstyle tone. The attack is a slight bit lighter with a nice airiness. They’re great basses with lots of character and 7 different pickup settings.
