he's got Parcels in his youtube recommended at 32:45 ????that tracks
How do you cable manage the longer audio cables on a board? Is it okay to zip tie them or is it better to run them freely?
Really cool to see the deep dive (and false starts) on Disco Ulysses. Album version is one of my very fave Vulf tunes, but I always had a nagging feeling that it didn't translate transcendently well to live performances like other songs did. This sheds some light!
please interview Henrik Linder
52:50 him trying to start with no click and struggling just reminds me he’s just as human as me and it’s so grounding some days after a bad rehearsal
Is there anyone who can play cleaner and more rhythmically than Cory Wong? It's unbelievable.
Great interview. Love both of you. I think Cory looks like Connor O’Malley
As a guitarrist, what strikes me the most is his precision and energy when striking down precisely one, two… strings. For example, in the song Cory Wong. You could play that easier and worse in many ways, but it wouldn't sound the same.
Once I heard Vulfpeck was headed to Bonnaroo I knew I'd be going, and then Cory Wong says hey, sure I'll host a jamfest and shred… best concert day of my life
Please do an interview to Bruno Speight
Cory’s cool. Great hang and different musical slant than so many other guitarists.
It's cool that them talking just turns into mini "On the One!"s lol
One of the best Vertex chats I've seen!
I love the fact Cory is keeping this clean funk sound alive. Thanks for sharing.
Truly one of the most hard working, prolific, inspiring artists and just a positive force in the industry. I really admire Cory and love to see how far he goes. See you in february in Europe!
Really. Really. Great!!!
My fav Strat is a Hwy 1 too. I never hear anyone talk about the Hwy 1 they are so great!
a Joe Dart episode is inevitable
One of the deepest, best interviews with Cory Wong ! Great job!
Great interview with an absolutely great artist. Loved the deep dive!
The guys talks a lot, it looks confident and all that , but its pretty average at playing the guitar.
Cory is awesome! I also liked that Kyle Shanahan was his doppelganger, until Kyle started taking fashion tips from the streets of SF and looking like a mobile dweller.
Honestly, I was thinking Cory's going to disassemble his guitar lol. I'm appologize, my English is pretty poor.
Should rename bubbling to wing wonging cause its bouncey as a ping pong game.
Best freaking series on YouTube ????????????????????????????
Picked up a Cory Strat for my 40th. It’s an awesome guitar. The only negative about it and it’s a 100% personal thing is the Pearl pickguard is a bit flashy for my tastes so I had a mint green one made custom for it (as it’s a slightly different shape due to the body size).
Please get Tom misch on this show ????????
Should’ve included meditation!
God this was just unbelievably cool. Incredibly fun to watch
Awesome episode Cory & Mason!
His plugin is a epic, haven’t looked back
The king of the compressor ????♂️
I got to see him for his SF and Oakland shows and got to see 4 out of the 6 Vulfpeck showed at UC theater
A true guitar master
Thanks for this interview! I love Cory! Also thanks for ask him about his gear and the creative process and recordings. This video is a treasure!
Cant wait to see him in February, so hyped!
That’s great ????
His right hand is amazing to watch. The haters are insane. thanks for introducing me to this amazing guitar player
So that explains how the live show appears in Cory Wong
Mason – stop responding to comments. Haven't you read the YouTuber rules? Number one is never read the comments
Whats with all the negative comments?! Cory is emblematic of what all musicians should be aspiring to in 2024, nobody is doing it like he's doing it, the caliber of his playing, arranging, just straight up musicianship level in general, is sky high, his success well deserved!
Don't get me wrong, Cory is a fantastic musician – but how are his songs "iconic"? "Let It Be" is iconic, "Creep" is iconic and so is "Ocean Eyes". You get the idea.
Intro sounded great. The guitar kinda disappeared in the mix tho… ????
It's so inspiring! Love your Neural's plugin by the way.
If it's not because other people play alongside him, this guy is not going anywhere.
great, great stuff!! thank you and you are doing awesome work documenting our music history and important musicians-thank you both.
John Mayer is on the list of people to interview, right? This one was great! ????????????????
Surprised yal didnt touch on Dean Town. Great interview tho.
I’m still trying to figure out why Cory Wong is a famous guitarist playing basic funk guitar
Great interview! Love Cory
So Cory wants to know how to pronounce Fortnite. Noted.
…hum…hum…don't loose your groove…please no "muzak"
