Dialing in a synth bass tone… it’s Time to Create!
The synth bass sound is ever present in modern music and only becoming more and more popular. But, what do you do when you’re a bass player who does’t want to take the leap to synthesizer? A great option is experimenting with effect pedals!
A great synth bass sound is often comprised of any combination of the following effects: an octave divider, some sort of distortion or fuzz sound, and a modulation effect, like phaser or chorus.
In our fourth episode of our “Time To Create” series, Pete dials in a synth bass guitar tone with an Octamizer octave divider, a Grape Phaser, and a Storm King distortion pedal.
Now it’s your turn:
1.) Download the backing track here: https://tinyurl.com/2p8khbnt
2.) With your favorite effect pedals create an original sound and bass line and record yourself playing to the backing track.
3.) Upload your creation to Instagram and tag us at @aguilaramp with the #timetocreate for a chance to be featured on our page.
Come celebrate with us! It’s #timetocreate

Could this video be any shorter? lol
Super cool sounding pedals – but 300€ + for a mass produced 1 purpose pedal in Europe is absolutely insane. Calm down with the prices, please!
PEEEEEEEETE! ❤️
