this is pretty awesome… do you have a patreon where you actually sell access to your jam sessions?
That intro is the most jason becker thing i've ever heard????
Fast Eddie Clark.
Yes.
My favorite guitar player is probably either Marty Friedman or John Petrucci
Ehmmm.. YES!!!! I dunno why that is, but i feel its very much true in general.
I wonder why. Maybe its because people actually had fun and had positive energy in their music? Secret for the depressed guitarist who likes gray: people like to have fun. I know i know…. Impossible right?
…….searches foe randy rhoads comments…..
I love Randy Rhoads! He was amazing guy
Sounds crazy at 1.25x
90’s- John Petrucci 80’s- Steve Vai 70’s-Al Di Meola, But overall Steve Vai
I think a lot of it was just because there were no detailed blueprints. Younger players have truly AMAZING tools at their fingertips to learn exactly how certain things are done and how great tones are built, and as such, I think some of the personality is lost. Lynch and Bettencourt and DeMartini et al all sound so different in part because they all learned how to do the simple bits in whatever way they could figure out as young players, and not because some YouTube guitarist explained it in mind-numbing detail.
Yes, the younger players can fairly easily do shit the Old Guard could never dream of technically, but AT WHAT COST?
Tipton/Downing duo for me
For me — Paul Gilbert, Michael Schenker, Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, Tony MacAlpine, and John Petrucci…
Steve Stevens
Alexi laiho, dimebag, friedman
In terms of my favourite old school guitar player, Warren DiMartini of ratt takes the spot. Man's an uncrowned guitar king with incredible skill, and an amazing playing style.
My favorite old school guitar player is surely Mark Knopfler. I really love his unique style and compositional skills.
Of course, the best old school guitarist, and the most influential guitarist of all time, is Mother Maybelle Carter.
Adrian Smith. I love iron maiden's tone
Randy rhoads
Haven't heard any other guitarist that made me say "that's very Michael Schenker like". Totally unique player in terms of his sense of melody, perfect technique and phrasing.
This video makes me feel things that I like feeling.
George Lynch, Nuno, & Vito Bratta
Petrucci will always be #1 in my book. Perfect blend of melody, feel and shred.
youre from another planet
"…perpetuating their archaic beliefs and opinions just because they put out a few good albums many years ago…"….much?
