  • Woot. Great job Joe. Love any day we get a new video. You're a brave dude working on smd pads, I'm still pretty scared of trying that myself. How was it removing the diodes and soldering the wires to the pads?

  • Just stumbled across your channel. Subscribed straight away keep up the good work.
It works on nearly every od circuit. I do this to every diy pedal I make. Even transistor based boost/od circuits love this mod. The cap values depend on the circuit and tone I'm looking for. Mosfets are another great option instead of diodes. I find Leds are super high head room. You should try adding the option for hard and soft clipping in every pedal. Well recommended.

  • Enjoyable video as always. The diode switching is a great idea. I’ve just watched your Gibson Skylark video from a while back. Seen many an amp service video, but never one where the service is completed on a warship ????. Out of curiosity, did you tackle re-tolexing the cab yourself?

  • Classic one have ugly color, also Paul says it, so they made purple "Paul Gilbert" edition (which I have and love)

  • The trick with the PG mojo is to cut the bass and treble. Keep the drive below 9. It has loads of gain.

It works really well after a tube screamer or a pedal which you can boost the mids.

  • I’m a huge fan of diode switching mods, the circuit that I have been experimenting with from Craig Anderton’s Tube Sound Fuzz is definitely going to get some mounted in one of my test boxes with clipping diode arrays for sure now!????????????

  • I'm so touched, this is such a kind gesture. I'll be sure to treasure it my good man. I can't wait to try it out!

You are bang on about that SG as well, I'm surprised you remember that one as it doesn't get much airtime.

I love these videos anyway, the fact i got loads of mentions and a banging mojo mojo with extra mojo makes it even better!
