Just got one in a pawn shop for 20 bucks mint condition in North Carolina. Can't go wrong.
Very similar tones and the donner will take up less real estate on your board I grew up on boss and have not looked @ donner but now I will look into it the boss seems to push the amp more
The Morpher is a Suhr Riot clone.
In analog audio, noon doesn't mean volume or tone unity with bypass. You need to adjust and match by ear.

I own both. I much prefer the donner. I've always hated my ds-1, yet love my sd-1. It's weird. I boost the donner with the super overdrive and boom! I'm in 80s metal heaven

The Donner sounds like the DS1 with additional studio processing.

I ordered the Downer thirty minutes previous to this video. I think they sound the same. The Donner Has more versatility with the toggle switch.

I got a Morpher 2 weeks ago and it's a great general purpose distortion. Not fizzy or honky. Surprisingly a really pleasant sound and it takes a tubescreamer like a real amp does.

I have a DS1 and alone it’s “tinny”
I have it on an overdriven channel on my 5150 and the DS1 shines there
I also have a boss “metal zone”

Very Cool Demo/Review/Comparison. The Donner sounded 'Darker' to me, but with three settings must have greater range. I have a DS-1 and am a fan of the sound I can get from it. I run it after a Boss Blues Driver BD-2 for that extra crunch. Love the channel. Cheers
They sounded the same to me in classic mode, plus you get the extra toggle tones. I think I might go with the Donner.
The Donner pedal sounds better to me
I have a keely mod ds1 and the donner is better even than that. Much smoother, less weird static and the more usable tone control.

I favor the Boss as well. Much more dynamic. But the Donner seems usable…
