EASY RIDER & THAT’S ALRIGHT MAMA DIANA HAMILTON
Hey everyone! ???? I’m thrilled to share this live session of Easy Rider and That’s Alright Mama, recorded during a special performance in Paris. Gertrude “Ma” Rainey was the first to record Easy Rider (C.C. Rider/See See Rider) on October 16, 1924. Lead Belly recorded it as See See Rider in 1949.
That’s Alright Mama, made famous by Elvis Presley, is a timeless classic written, originally performed, and recorded in 1946 by the Afro-American blues singer Arthur Crudup.
I’m honored to add my own interpretation. I hope you enjoy this live rendition as much as I enjoyed performing it!
