  • Eric was recently spotted playing an aged white blonde Strat without the Journeyman Relic finish. Specs suggest a 2-piece select ash body.

  • When you've made your living off of only playing five notes, sometimes a sixth, all you need is three guitars.

  • It's great having an EC Strat built by Todd Krause of Fender Custom Shop, and also great meeting and having dinner with Todd, and getting your Strat autographed by him.

  • I wouldn't have thought 10s for Slinkys. Eric does some fairly hefty bending at times. I used to use 9s and that was plenty of resistance without tuning down.

  • EC = "Taste" Few so called 'guitar hero's' have what EC has. Thats what he has over them.

  • See all the tech stuff i dont get. I would string the three guitars before the tours start and chances are i wouldnt have to change strings til i GOT BACK HOME?(yea new strings take awile to "settle in" hes right.) Chances are i wouldnt even break one..i get Hundreds of hours to a set. If ya wipe em off after playing each time(salts). And i use various tuning and ussually go a bit sharp…and bend more then gilmore? Why Anyone needs a "Guitar TECH" when i the best cant get a JOB i dont know?

  • He also tours with a right wing racist ideology, antivax propaganda material, and general mistrust of everyone he meets too.

He was a hero of mine for years, my first guitar hero.. until I found out he was a wrong’un recently. Gutted tbh.

  • the problem with the Clapton strat: the noiseless pickups are not famous to sound bright
    the tuners are bad
the heavy gauge strings :it needs a full set up to come back to 09 -46
the trem is not interesting (not Beck 's trem)
the rosewood fingerboard is not here
the only thing I like is the boost+tbx but Fender could add that in some other guitars
with a floyd rose or not
    in 2988

  • This what makes Clapton a fantastic artist.. Its in his playing, in his singing.. his feel and knowlegde of music. Simple set up, hardly any pedals, vintage amp… Thats what makes him God

  • It should be noted that Noiseless V1 pick ups are reallt like humbuckers – one on top of the other. Stronger than your basic fat 50s strat PUs – a bit darker – more sustain – an upgrade to the Lace Sensors which were just single coils with a different design so the magnetic field was manipulated to give less pull on the strings. But yeah the guitars are identical to what you buy – BUT – the three way only switch is notthe same in the basic models – must be just the CS models.

  • only a three way pickup? That can't be right. Clapton loved the sound between the middle and bridge pick up and he still uses it sometimes.

  • I have owned many Fender Stratocasters over the years , my Eric Clapton Stratocaster is by far the greatest Guitar I have ever owned and played , I had a 100 watt Marshall Stack – Amazing sound , now have a 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb .

  • tough job handling guitars for a mega racist – should've left it at Cream and gone into hibernation.

  • Great guitar for sure with 4th generation pickups.
I think it would nice if Eric add a Firebird, SG and Les Paul in the mix and add some diversity to the mix!!!!!!
