Ernie Ball VPJR Combined Volume & Tuner Pedal | Review
The brand new VPJR Tuner from Ernie Ball is the perfect combination 2-in-1 pedal offering precise volume control with an enhanced definition digital tuner. The pedal features a fast and accurate chromatic tuner with graphic volume display that is visually attractive and easy to operate. The large display automatically switches between tuner and volume modes depending on the signal level, allowing the player to tune at minimal volume. However, other “always on” configurations are accessible via a double tap on the touch screen. The tuner can also be calibrated to a variety of ideal reference pitches. The pedals compact, rugged design consists of aluminium housing and features a stronger, more durable PCV coated Kevlar cord ensuring consistent tension throughout the foot sweep. Available in Silver, Red, White and Black.

Great breakdown dawg, thx!!
Really rather cool
Nice demo but you forget one issue: it eats a lot of amperes. You need a strong powerdevice. Otherwise, i have one, it is a great pedal with great tuner stability
The volume read out is only helpful it seems if you were born with a transparent foot…Tuner Idea is great though!
Definitely the most helpful video I’ve seen for this pedal
With the price, it'd want to be an accurate tuner and well constructed
Thanks great review. Really appreciated.
Thanks. I was worried about the barefoot thing with the touchscreen, but it looks like it requires a very intentional motion to enter config mode.
I've had lots of problems with this pedal. Volume is fine but the tuner doesn't work at high volumes, especially during gigs. Very frustrating.
Excellent demo… just purchased it (and subscribed)! One question though: how do I turn it off?! Can’t find any info in the manual – is the LED screen just supposed to stay illuminated until it eventually burns out? Thanks.
Can you use the fx send out of the pedal to trigger another device, such as a key input of a noise gate? And also will the send from the volume work to split the guitar's signal?
wow what a review deffinitly worth a sub 😉 did u ever make the video with the other routing options?
Yes please for wet/dry set up!
Do you need to choose mode every time you power it up?
Thank you for talking about the send and return fx on this pedal! I’ve been trying to find info on it everywhere. Great vid! Great pedal!
This review is really, rather cool
Nice video! Would like to see more setup options. Example: for amps without effects loops. Middle placement after dirt and before modulation and end placement before loopers.
Why would you spend that much money for a tuner that can't be used for intonation ? Isn't that the purpose of a tuner pedal to have built in ?
Pretty Cool!
Peace*
Thanks for explaining the Effects Loop.
Killer rings, man!
Doesn’t seem like a really necessary item, especially at $200 US. It does come in 4 colors though!
How durable is that touch screen? I can imagine it taking damage pretty easily since it'll be under your shoe, especially if you have a pebble stuck to your sole or something…
GI Marketing meeting
"Okay guys, we have this new Tuner pedal we need to review, any ideas of how we can show off the capabilities of the tuner?"
"1 minute guitar solo!"
"Perfect!"
????????
What if I want to tune while playing the wah?
