  • i bought the h9 max here in england for£568.00. in mono it is pathetic. through my boogie king snake my korg rp355 blows it away. it doesn't sound bad through my pedal steels, so that is what i shall use it for, save throwing it away. if you only have mono lads beware of this piece of kit.

  • How many of the commenters about the "one effect at a time" have spent time using this box actually? I do owe one and one should better say one PROGRAM at a time. There are programs which already chain up delay, modulation, and reverb. Or dual delay and a modulated filter in the feedback. You almost always get a reverb "for free" in programs. This unit alone is versatile, has terrific audio quality and delivers far more than anything on the market in the same range price in the footprint of a stompbox. And yes, I did pay my H9 and am neither an endorsed nor a paid reviewer. I just like that facts are stated as they are.

  • The one effect at a time thing is complete bullshit and I would never use this on that basis alone. Pete Thorn has two H9's in his pedalboard just so he can use two effects at once…which is insane for anyone who is a regular guy, non-professional guitarist. In other words if you aren't a pro like Thorn and don't get as many free expensive effects like this you will not be able to afford this.

  • What i have never ever seen in any video for the Eventide H9 is that people switch  between the effects by foot. Why? Because the latency of switching between two effects is rrreally awful. If you will ever play this pedal live, have this in mind. i would never use this live. By the way, cool sounds but what for? Studio or @home btu not for playing live.

  • you don't NEED an iOs device.  You can perform all of those functions from the pedal itself, or use a mca/pc.

  • A very comprehensive demonstration. It seems as though the universe has been successfully captured inside a box. Bravo!

  • hmmm my only concern is that kind of "forced" connection to an external device it has… I guess you can always connect to your computer to pre-configure it and then use it at the real place which is with the band, not with the computer… What do you think about this? doesn't it need more live configuration in the pedal instead of outside? 😀
Btw, sounds sooo good… I'd like to have one hehe
