As a teen I bought my first classical, an Alvarez, for $70. I'm a lefty so I bought strings to flip it over. Once it was all tuned and I started playing it I was just stunned by the sound and feel of it all. I almost felt like a pro (my ass I was!) – so different from my steel string 6- and 12- !
I encourage folks to keep a nylon-string as a second guitar.
