  • Each effect had an additional setting of reverb which makes it sound with a fuller sound. To activate the reverb you need to keep the button pressed until you see a quick flask of the indicator light. The overdrive and distortion effect sound better with the reverb setting.

  • I’ve just got one of these and have tried it out for an hour.
    A few early observations:
It is small, light, a bit plasticky but solid enough, easy and quick to charge, easy to operate and generally works very well.
It plugs easily into a variety of jack sockets and once plugged in, is both firmly held and easy to adjust. I doubt I’ll ever use the Bluetooth facility (too old to understand it).
Electric guitars, on the clean setting, with anything over very modest volumes, tends to crackle and distort, especially with chords. Genuinely clean tones only exist at very low volume. The fuzz style effects are quite good and mask this deficiency.
For a rather minute device, it can produce a substantial, if slightly tinny, sound. I found it ok with bass guitars too, though again, only at around a third of its maximum output.
I actually bought it on spec, to use with a nylon strung electro/classical guitar. I was looking particularly for a mini amp with reverb, more to just add reverb to the existing acoustic sound, rather than to amplify the signal as such. This subtle use of the effect seems to work rather well and I suspect I will use it quite a lot in this way.
This item is under a tenth of the price of a Tonewood Amp, without all the set-up fuss and bother that those are associated with, though I still might get one at some point.

I would definitely recommend the Lekato amp, as long as expectations are kept within realistic limits. If they’d made one twice the size, with a better clean sound, they would be unbeatable IMO.

  • Is the clean channel fully clean? It sounds slightly distorted. I don’t use fuzz tone etc.

  • Great video! I think I’ll pick one up for myself.
They have a really good mini looper too. Check it out.

  • I have a Lekato UHF wireless system I've had for 2+ years now, great for practice or playing around the house(or your neighbors).
