Fender Adam Clayton ACB-50 Bass Amp Jam • Mike Dirnt Precision Bass with Cobalt Flatwound Strings

My Fender ACB50 showed up last weekend and I can’t stop playing this amp. Want to run literally every bass I own through it, and both channels while I fiddle with the 3-way switch and several treble-mids-bass settings.

This short demo is with my Roadworn Mike Dirnt Precision Bass, laced with Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats, love these flatwound strings!

Amp isn’t blaring in the room, but just at the tube-saturation / breakup level and it sounds so sweet and dynamic, depending on how hard you attack the bass.

Anyhow, if you’re thinking of grabbing this amp, and are in the market for a 50 watt tube bass combo amplifier, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

We’ll see how things fare once the honeymoon phase is over, but as a Super Bassman 300 owner, and someone who was searching for a great studio amp with awesome outs + a 15” speaker (a la vintage B-15 flip-top), I was pleasantly surprised by the ACB-50 and am stoked that Adam Clayton put his name on a Fender amp.

Feel free to ask questions or if you want to join us in the Talkbass thread, I can link it in the comments 🙂
