Sounds a bit light. Needs more beefy low end. This might be attributed to the tone wood used for this bass model in particular. Pickups were ok at best but didn’t seem to really have high output. All in all it’s a nice looking bass and has cool extra unnecessary features but is lacking where it really counts. My .02 is just stick w/the Fender American P Bass w/ Alder body.

Hey Fender, make a Precision in that brown color with a black pickguard!!!
We're not demoing distortion sounds!! Can't tell what the bass sounds like
63-64
Thank you for making the video. That is a really fun bass to play.
At 2:57 I heard the Damned, Neat Neat Neat ????????????????????????
in love with the red one
Fender should have left the pickguard off
the bass sounds good
Muse Fuzz sound a la Chris Wolstenholme is close
the REAL question here is the Fender 100T and bassman neo 410 or V4B and ampeg 410hlf?!? Killer videos!
I was a bit harsh. My apologies! I just can't tell the voice of one bass from another when it's played as a percussion instrument.
Will a jazz neck fit on this?
I Heard Rush – Tom Sawyer At The Beginning?
fender. best bass in the world.
Seriously, why would you use fuzz when showcasing tonal capabilities of an instrument? Immediate turn off.
That's was so funny!!!!! "The bridge sounds badass"…lol
What distortion pedal does he use in the video? OCD?
Fuzz will mask just about anything.
1:27 ''really really bad ass'' I see what you did there 😉 (for the people who don't know what I'm talking about; Leo Quan made bridges for basses for a long time and called them badass bridges, and fender also used them on a lot of there basses, Leo Quan stopped producing these bridges 2 years ago and now fender made there own badass style himass bridge)
neat neat neat
cool

Do NOT review a bass by slapping and popping it. You can't tell a Status Graphite from a Squier bass when you do that! Finger pick it through some patterns, plectrum pick it, and show it's true voice. Every yay-hoo on here makes this same mistake. If I want to hear a nail gun fired into metal, I'll go hang out at a construction site.
How big is that cabinet? It looks a little wider than a cabinet with 10" speakers.
It's a Fender bass, mimicking a Musicman stingray, that mimicks fender body style. It's leo parroting leo, parroting leo. Yes i'm using parrot as a verb cause it's another symbol for mimiquery and mocking.
Sick tattoo love me some G.I Joe
I might get one of these and sell it in like 40 years because instruments from their first year of being made sell for a ton!
So basically, it doesn't sound like anything particular. . . Not a P, nor a J, nor a Gibby mudpucker, nor a Rick, nor a Dano… Might as well buy a Carvin.
for the money, I think the stingray is still a better choice
Kind of bothers me that every time you go for the pick, you go with a heavy distortion =/ thx anyways, I guess
better review, better because you're starting out clean and avoiding the guitar effects. thanks!
THIS BASS SOUNDS AND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL
The bridge is baddas. HA
I Have spent most of my life trying not to get bass distortion and now they are building it into the guitar?
…That thing looks like a tank
its a bass, you want high notes ? get a guitar, or get a 24 fretted bass duh
A: he is playing slap in this video.
B: he doesn't play very well.
Thanks for a straight-up demo. Good work.
Very happy that there was no slap in this demo. OTOH, I didn't dig the distortion at all.
Give it 24 frets for fucks sake.
i agree, demos with backing tracks are so much more useful. there's often a pretty big difference between the sound of a bass solo'd and in a mix.
based purely on youtube demos the modern player version appears to sound better than this one…
the price of this is around 2000 plus..jeezus.. only if i hit the lottery i would buy it
