  • This video was super helpful and your grooves are off the charts! Just ordered one of these bad boys and anxious to try it out. If I can get anything like the tone you dialed in, I'll be doing good.

  • Neck dive???

I’m always happy when super-inexpensive instruments work out. I’m always super-disappointed when more expensive instruments don’t live up to their price.

  • Is that one made in China or Indonesia? I've been finding that some of the Squier stuff made in China have some good fretwork. I have a Squier Franken-Jazz bass with an MIC Paranormal Jazz Bass neck, and it plays and feels as good as my MIM Fenders and almost as good as my USA Fenders. I put it together to have a bass I could leave at the rehearsal studio, and not worry about it. Also, if my mode of transportation happens to be Public Transit or my sneakers, who want's to carry a bass if you don't have to. ????

  • Wow, how nice to have these nice Squires today
Starting in the 70’s, we all had those horrible copies, bad.
But I was thankful my Dad bought it for me, there was nothing like the Squires, not even close.
    Own two, love em-
Bully making that P a short scale!
    Jeez, those hands!
    I got scrawny fingers lol
    Awesome review!

  • Flat out impressive how good this bass sounds. Just ordered one for my nonprofit – looking forward to giving it a spin! On a side note, many moons ago when I heard Fender was pulling the plug on their Japan factory, I picked up a Japanese Foto Flame P Bass. I yanked the frets, installed some Quarter Pounders, a Leo Quan Badass bridge, replaced the tuners, ditched the pick guard, added a set of Thomastik-Infeld flatwounds and it has been my 'number one' bass ever since.

  • I just bought this bass. I changed the strings to flats, and I changed the pickups for a set of Bass Lines. An excellent instrument for the money. I paid $209 for the bass. I’m very happy with my purchase. And that green. I tell people it’s made out of kryptonite.

  • Nice sound man, you think it's a good enough entry bass or is it better to buy Classic Vibe series? I just don't want to get discouraged because of bad quality

  • Been playing bass 40 years. And I bought one and I have to say it’s an amazing bass. It’s built solid, and the pick ups are a bit hot and in your face but that’s what I wanted. You don’t need to spend big money anymore for a great playing and feeling bass. If your on the fence about it but it!!!

  • Hi, I stumbled upon this video last night while researching the bass that I’m gonna soon buy(my first one!!) and I wanna say I loveeee the way you play. I’m mesmerized by it! Hopefully when I progress I can get to where you are. I was asking, what song are you playing? I would love to learn it.I feel in love with the melody!

  • You're gonna hate this , but that might look good relic'ed. And why cannot fender put the dark wood fret boards on some colors they'd look at home on , and like this one, I think maple wood even out the neon green imo. Sounds good though .

  • Looks like the bottom end of squier was brought up a notch with the sonic line. As a guitar player, I think this might be a the bass for me to get acclimated to playing bass.

  • One of the ways i make my P-Basses my own is i order a clear pick guard and put a glitter scrapbook paper behind it. That green is a goid color for something like that ????

  • That's a cool bass. That green P would look (and sound!) awesome with a Jazz pickup in the bridge position

  • It's sad that fender sold their soul to the devil and makes these expensive pieces of s*it. but you can get a squire and it sounds great

  • Just the review I was looking for…I have the same mean green Squire machine… still working on some fret buzz, but digging it so far…

  • I’ve had good luck with my Indonesian made Squiers. I have a feeling they have better QC at the factory there. I got my Squier P at a pawnshop for 40, decided to teach myself how to tint necks so I sanded mine tinted it and went ahead and added a Fender decal and some wipe on poly and some flat wounds.

  • Sorry to be that guy, but just thinking you might be missing hits due to the misspelling of Squier in your title…

  • This was the straw that broke the camel's back. At this time the Limited Edition/Musician's Friend Surf Green Sonic Precision is $40 off regular price! (no association with them!) I've been wanting another P for flat wounds. ????

  • Nice smooth sound and it appears that it is fast for you playing the grooves. Very Fender sound and looks. How light is it?

  • Haha, glad you ended up getting it! I ended up picking up a Fender myself… foreshadowing for another Bass Hang????!!!!

  • It sounds good and not surprised about the quality control of the Squire necks… Squire IS the new Fender…2nd string squad making it happen for sure.
