Am I the only one completely distracted by the Blue Power indicator flashing/blinking on that Two-Rock in the background? Driving me nuts; can't concentrate.
This is a great lesson in how to take the clutter out of your playing. The 5th is the most dispensable note in any major 7th or dominant 7th chord. You don't need it. In a solo context, if you want to throw in some double-stops, you can also lose the root note and just play the 3rd and 7th and get a nice bluesy effect. Less is more, unless you want to sound like Metallica.
