  • Both Ibby and ESP 2025…zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. The only thing that's new and interesting is that Ibanez multi-bass and I'm not even a bass player.

  • Is the pickup selector further away from the middle coil unlike a normal fender strat?

  • very disappointed. I don't understand what ibanez is doing. It appears that they now concentrate all the good stuff and the nice colors on the az guitars. while the rg and rga (which is the shapes i like best) are things for kids now, with mostly stupid, opaque flashy colors when it's not full black for teens metalheads 🙁

  • more crap that i won't buy. they need to bring back the open custom shop. if this is what they insist of pushing.

  • They put SS frets on AZ models
    But not higher priced RGs
Doesnt make any sense! The RG656R was attractive until I read it had regular frets.
Come on Ibanez get with the times! You already upgraded the specs with 5-piece necks compared to the old 80s 90s models, just put SS frets and everyone is happy 😀

  • If it's not too much trouble, could you include the top speed specs on the guitars in the videos? Cuz I wanna play super fast!!

  • Way too few guitars with fixed bridges nowadays. Whole swathes of Ibanez's range is a no-go for me despite looking and sounding awesome because I don't like floating bridges.

  • I like the finish on that multi scale, if they did that without the fan frets id be all over that

  • Have to say…I preferred the sound of the Ibanez own-brand pickups on the cheaper models here. That 7 string in particular sounded great – fantastic split coil tones. Great that Ibanez actually put a 5-way switch on an affordable 7 string; either they recognise djent guys (myself included!) love those spanky split coil tones, or they just thought why not, can increase the versatility of the guitar without much extra cost. The coil split on the Fishman model didn't sound as great, I guess they aren't the Fluence pickups with the dedicated single coil voicing.

The neutral fret seemed pretty high up on the 7 string…giving that big stretch down low for chords. The multiscale 6 string was cool too with the very light fan. I remember seeing a different colour of that before on the Ibanez website, and one unique thing it had was the gold frets (EvoGold or something I believe). I did read that type of fretwire isn't being made any more which would explain why it's no longer on this model. When an option gets that scarce it will be saved for the most expensive custom shop models. I believe Kiesel are charging hundreds of $ upcharge for the gold frets. They do look cool though!

  • Ibanez actually pulled out all the stops with this. Genuinely good play instead of releasing “Ibanez AZGG439764908” for 2000 dollars

  • I would love to see Ibanez bring back the Artist series and Roadstar series, incorporating new electronics and tech.

  • Well…a bit of a party pooper here but for those solid body models…not for me…give me a Tele with a three way selector and I'm good. Not a fan off the tail piece on the hallow body models. Nice presentation though…

  • Great playing from Thom and I don't intend to throw any shade here. He did better with the 7 strings than most Andertons demos.
I'm glad Andertons is getting more modern players to demo the modern guitars, but I would really like to see dedicated extended range players for the 7-8 string models. In most Andertons demos of an extended range, the amp tone is not at all set up for it, and the player looks (and sounds) totally uncomfortable with the instrument. I know there are other channels for these types of guitars, but even from a pure marketing perspective I think it would be better to have an experienced extended range player demo it or have no demo at all instead of a flubby-sounding mashing of the low string. It often feels more like a caricature of extended range guitars rather than a highlight of what they can do, and I don't think it is helping sell the guitars.
