  • It's people like you that make Youtube such a great tool for the modern world. I've learnt so much since leaving the rigid curriculum driven establishments, not that school is not necessary but being able to learn what you want, when you want and mostly for free will be a boon to future generations. And largely thanks to the generosity of time that you and others like you have.

  • At 55 years old, I've decided to take up the bass guitar. 🙂 If I learn on a 4-string bass guitar, will it be difficult to play a 5-string? If so, would you advise that I learn on a 5-string? That's what I'd like to play ultimately. Thanks for this very informative and easy to understand video!!

  • Hey, thanks for the lesson. As you can probably tell by by profile pic I like to play the drums. I have just recently (last weekend) bought a bass that I know next to nothing about, but would like to learn enough to hack away in a jamb situation when someone else plays the drums. Hope fully that person will be my 5 year old son in the near future.

  • I'm renting an electric bass ukelele (u-bass by Kala). I played electric bass in high school, but that was 20 years ago and I've forgotten almost everything. I still remember the plucking with the alternating fingers. That's about it. I am wondering if your lessons will apply to the electric bass ukelele too. Let me know, either way. Thanks.

I am an absolute beginner at playing anything. I do not own a bass yet, but i was thinking of buying the Yamaha RBX774.
Do you think is is a good idea to start with a Yamaha RBX774? Or would you recomend something else?
