  • POW MUSIC, What is very confusing is that each 3 string triad SETS have different shapes but don't have names assigned to them. So if someone says play a C shape triad is not helping at all because which 3 string set are you referring to since there are FOUR different 3 string sets, which E-A-D is string set#1, A-D-G is string set#2, D-G-B is string set#3, G-B-E is string set#4. The 3 string Sets don't have any names applied to them so if want to communicate with other guitarists in video lessons and want to play a C triad, Which string sets#1 thru #4 are you referring to? There must be a better way to "apply the string sets" to the CAGED Shapes. The C shape is 6 string set, NOT the same as a C triad which can be played on any of the 4 different versions on the 3 string sets.

  • So i have gone on a quest to make my own "analog" pdfs by writing the notes and charts by hand from my favorite YouTube guitar teachers. Omg this one is going to take up 7 pages.

  • Posiblemente el mejor estudio de triadas que he visto en mi vida. Enhorabuena. La mezcal de escalas, triadas y pentatonicas usando el sistema CAGED y con la base de John Mayer, ha sido magnifica. Gran trabajo.

  • Man this was a great lesson! I’ve been mostly playing “at” guitar for almost 8 years. Just enough to be useless. This literally just opened up my mind and I’ve had lightbulb moments one after another with this video. Thanks man!

  • this is such a great lesson. talk about breaking it down and making it so easy to understand. We play this song in our band and I can't wait to sneak in these new embellishments! Thank you so much.

  • one of the most comprehensive triad videos I've ever seen. So much useful info. I'd like to take course and learn more but can't afford the 5 unit course on your page. Ever think about breaking them up into smaller more digestible chunks.

Also, as a teacher what is your advice? It is really necessary to learn the triads for the augmented, diminished etc? Or will majors and minors usually suffice? It's really incredible and interesting but seems overwhelming to remember so much. Or is it just worth it to put in the work to learn it all?

  • When you have a major triad that is located at the bottom of the A shape / top of the G shape in CAGED (DGB strings), what pattern does that major triad fall into? Is it the G shape or the A shape when explaining it? It's second inversion
