  • Very helpfu contentl. I loved the sound I was getting with this at Guitar Center w a UA Dream pedal and a Friedman overdrive in front but wasn't sure about an amp in this price range. But this video has sold me. I'm still in the early intermediate stage and figuring out how to put together a great rig for home playing…and learning about gear in the process.

  • Wonder if the SRV;Hendrix tone comes thru with a strat neck position in clean and blues voicing on 25W. Love me those big open E's. For me, that's the bench mark for clean demos to hear amps voicing and aprox to fender amps. Interesting amp. Plenty of gain. Like concept of analog Ch 1 and pedals

  • The reason these amps sound so good is that the speaker was designed to be optimal in these amps. A lot of amp manufacturers don't pay much attention to the speakers and just toss in a Celestion or some other brand and the amp suffers for this. Gamma have designed a great speaker and amp together. That's why these things sound so darn good. The Boss Katana also has a specially designed speaker.

  • GC has these on sale again. Wonder if they'll be updated/replaced with one with an effects loop. Seeing that there is now a Gamma Reverb pedal, I wonder if a G50R is coming?

Beyond that, have you or have you heard of anyone trying the True Blue speaker (specifically the 12 in. version) with a different amp? GC sells speakers individually, which piques my curiosity. Thanks!

  • I'm looking at buying one. Can't decide on the 25 or the 50. 50 sounds more open to me. I'm still learning so I just play in the house. It would be nice to have the 50 tho????‍♂️. Both on sale right now

  • I got one of these a few weeks ago and it rocks! So affordable. Simple controls. Great sounds! The guys in my band said “Nice practice amp.” No. It is so freaking loud it can play any gig we play. It is just a killer amp all the way around.

  • GAMMA by ACOUSTIC !
What a great tonal guitar amp.
Acoustic always had perfect sounding amps now they've moved into the Rock sound.
Looks easy to carry too .
I'm getting one . Thanks King

  • If you are the guitarist who gets buried by the other guitarist in the band buy this. Lol. There is no way anybody else in the band will use this frequency. It is all yours in the mix. Very middy with a nasal that is musical and actually highly sought after for singing guitar solos. This will sound harsh next to your more expensive amps in a solo format… but in a band context … lol. You will be king of the hill. You will have the other guitarist twisting nobs and he won’t enter into your tonal space. This also sits in its own place next to bass guitar. No muddy overlap. Great amp for claiming your space in the mix. Very musical in band context.

  • Thank you sir for the efforts to produce thorough reviews and demo’s on guitar equipment for working stiffs like me.

  • This is pretty much what I have done with a Pyle PVAMP60R. Basic analog clean channel. Also has an OD Gain channel I'm not in love with, but stacking OD & Distortion works for help. That amp is versatile, I use it for acoustic electric, it's an open back combo that's voiced like a Silver Face Fender. What I like about it, High & Lo Inputs, I can use the acoustic electric & a microphone, it's a busking amp that's probably at the minimum anyone would need to busk with. I wish I had bought the Pyle PVAMP120 that's been discontinued for a solid state amp. Speaker on the Pyle is a full range frequency 20-20K Hz. It allows me to use my short scale Jackson Bass guitar and get at least a clean channel for that. Crossover pedals like the Proco Rat or even the Big Muff Pi and the Pyle for under $ 100 when I bought it in 2019, is a very versatile open back 1×8. The specs indicate the speaker handles 60W max, so I'm thinking it's actually an amp that's putting out between 30-45W RMS. The other pedal I use is a budget Mosky Crunch Red distortion pedal that approximates the MI Audio Crunch Box (basically a "Marshall In a Box" distortion pedal. I mean none of my pedals were over $ 30, so I won't fool myself into thinking I actually have a Rat, Big Muff Pi or Crunch Box V2/V3. But they aren't bad for what I use them for around the house/studio.

Have seen a few folks praising Gamma, they are basically the electric guitar amp that Acoustic Amplification has. The Acoustic brand is the affordable electric acoustic product that GC & MF has. Although I figure others sell them too. Monoprice showed up with the affordable 5 & 15W tube amps with Celestion speakers loaded in them. Would appear Gamma is the 2022 product that may try to revive the pandemic guitar gear sales resurgence. I was fortunate to be about 9 months ahead of the pandemic music boom back in Summer 2019. I'm just not a gear flipper, so I have affordable gear that I will keep for years. I have gear a Fentanyl fiend would steal & sell off. Nobody would covet what I have, but I like the gear & it's really all I can justify for investment.

  • I bought the G50. It sounds really good with my pedalboard. Good enough to gig with. There is one big problem. It has a really loud white noise/ hiss thing going on. It's going back to guitar center. I can even hear it in this video.

  • Man i am looking at the gamma speakers to replace a 10 in my 4×1p it would be with jensen mod 10 50s. Im really just trying to learn if the true blue is a brit or US style speaker

  • Fender should never send out a guitar with a setup like that (trem). Yep, they can jack the prices but not ensure QC. Have always been a Fender player but for the past 6 -8 years, simply not impressed. The imports from Ibanez and elsewhere are going to really hammer them in this economy. Ibanez AZ with S/S frets $1300, but to get S/S frets with Fender it's.. $2500+ unreal, plus it is only on the Ultra Luxe series.
