Genesis Live Album Battle!! Seconds Out (1977) vs. Three Sides Live (1982)
Genesis was always known as a great live band. Even after they lost ultra-theatrical front man Peter Gabriel in 1975, they continued to improve the live show. Phil Collins steps in as the lead vocalist and focal point. They drafted excellent jazz educated American side men in Chester Thompson on drums and eventually Daryl Steurmer on guitar. They invest in a cutting edge lighting rig and they continue to wow audiences around the world. By the Abacab tour they were a lean mean fighting unit! Which of these wins for us? Gotta watch to find out. #albumreview #80smusic #rockband #vinylcommunity #genesis #philcollins #tonybanks #mikerutherford

Seconds Out has better musicianship on it. Three Sides Live has better singing on it. Nobody wins!
Three sides live for me.
Are you into Italian prog bands like Banco, Locanda delle Fate, Museo Rosenbach?
Not even a conversation. Now Seconds Out vs. Genesis Live might be an interesting debate.
I'll take TSL over SO if only they didn't include Who Dunnit to it..
They're both good but Seconds Out for sure. That was my entry point to Genesis.
Seconds Out by a Mile as it has Steve Hacket on it.
Saw the TSL show three night in a row
