As a fun fact: For Clapton fans a lot of his music came from there.
His songs aren't too hard to play. Classic, but not complicated like a lot of good music.
Lonnie Johnson is Legend though.
This unlocks a whole new understanding for me. THANK YOU!! ????????
Thanks for the ( KISS ) method mate , keep it simple stupid !
I've been a chord slinging campfire wailer for 25 years, but I always fall on my butt when I try to play lead. This really made sense and I can't wait to apply it. Thank you.
I love these videos that focus on different moveable shapes where you can make great music . This puts the fun back into guitar playing. Please make more of these type of videos. Craig Ewinger
Is that a Gibson ES-175?
That guitar eludes me. I’ve looked everywhere for a later version before they discontinued. What a beauty. I was a touring musician, (singer, acoustic rhythm and picker) and never could figure out lead. This explains to me in a way I can understand.
Thanks for sharing.
Nice old guitar!
I love that guitar ????
And the lesson of course
Thank you, this is great!!!!!
Brilliant thank you so much
I like to think I can squeeze a lot out of pentatonic scales after playing for so long, it was a huge epiphany when it "made sense!"

I have been trying to find out how to play lead for many years and whenever i ask a teacher they assign me a practice lesson that has nothing to do with the question I asked them. But THIS, Wow. I have been subscribed to Brian for I think 4 or so years and this lesson is an eye opener. Love you Brian. 🙂
Amazing video! So clear and easy to understand now
This is really helpful. I need to come back to this and do it again.
I’m not interested in playing lead but I always learn something from lessons on how to play it.

At last, one that shows the way to do it
